I love these cookies but Kashi recently changed the recipe and now they are much thinner and crumble really easily. Please change it back to how they used to be!!

Like most people here I also love the cookies but have a problem with the packaging. The cookies taste great when you first open the package but they dry out after a few days. I’ve read a few responses about putting the cookies in zip lock bags after you open them but I shouldn’t have to do that. Many companies package their products in resealable packaging and I don’t see why Kashi won’t do the same. These cookies are not cheap when you consider there are only 8 in box so the packaging should be top-notch. Even Oreo cookies come in resealable packaging!

It’s not that I don’t like the taste of these- I do. I like the taste and the texture. I just cannot find a time to eat them. I find their size and calorie count awkward for my day. They’re a tad on the small size for the calorie count, IMO. They fail to satisfy my big dessert craving that comes after dinner. Also too small for a snack. I want to like these but I don’t know when to eat them.

You’re in luck! They are hard to find in my part of the world at times, too, but who cares? I order mine now through Amazon.com’s subscription service. I pay pretty much the same as a grocery store price and can set the frequency with which I receive orders. Cool! This is our favorite cookie, too. In conjunction with ordering them in, I got a batch earlier this week that had been riding around in the UPS truck all day on a warm day. I was famished at work so opened up a package immediately. New favorite way to eat this cookie!! Try this: put a cookie on a microwave proof plate, put in the microwave, covered with an inverted pie plate, for about 35 seconds. You may need a fork, but see what I mean? Pure awesome! I may never eat one at room temperature again! Next benefit of ordering them in—they seem to come straight from the source—the freshest cookies I have had. Enjoy!

Oh, P.S. I am a busy member of Amazon Prime, so when I order some cookies, there is no freight per se, if you know what I mean. So that keeps the price in line with grocery store prices.

Finally, a cookie or granola bar without chunky nuts or dried cherries. Just the essence of oatmeal and chocolate chips. Not everyone loves nuts or fruit infused in their food ::raises hand:: I am one of them. Kashi is about creating simple great tasting food, from fine ingredients, this is finally an example I can stand behind.

I tried this cookie yesterday and loved it. Though you ony get 8 to a package, after eating one, it settles the craving to eat more. They are not “empty calories” like other cookies. Not a big fan of dark chocolate, though it is better for you and I enjoyed eating it. I also love the granola bars too.

I do enjoy these cookies, my only beef is the freshness factor. I mean when you open the box, the cookies are great. Since I am currently a family of one, and i can only eat so many at a time, it would be nice if the cookies were individually wrapped like the sally fields cookies so that I could be guaranteed freshness. I had to throw out half a box because I just didn’t eat them fast enough and I had the box for 2 weeks. It would really help the soft bake quality, otherwise they begin to dry out, and longevity since these babies aren’t cheap. I’m willing to pay more for good quality food, but I’m not into throwing money away in the trash.

these cookies stay fresher and still keep its soft bake quality when you place them in a plastic storage bag in a cool place because of the chocolate.Try it this way and then send a comment about it.Thank you

I don’t think I can even explain how muh I love this cookie. I remember when I first tried this cookie and I loved it so much that it made me try other kashi produts. I love the dark choclate and oatmeal together, it is really hard to find that kind of cookie. This one, though, is much better than any oatmeal choclate cookie I have ever tried!

I agree with posts saying the cookie packages need to be changed. I don’t like them either.

One major complaint that I think about everytime I’ve opened the cookies for the past 3 years or so. Please let Kashi know if you agree. The packaging on the cookies is horrible. Once you open, it’s difficult to seal it back up without tearing the foil. Why can’t they make it an open sticky top (like chips ahoy). No matter how carefuly I am, it still tears. This would keep the cookies fresher for longer, since they are exceptionally delicious when you open the package. Thanks!

I totally agree-the package has a box, tray and outerwrap; none of which are reusable. As with any cookie I don’t think the intent is to eat all of them in one sitting.

Why are the Kashi cookies in a protective plastic tray 2 inches shorter than the box, there is nearly enough space to fit an extra row of cookies. Since there’s no added protection by making the boxes this much larger, this is clearly a case of deceptive advertising, and more so than I’ve seen in any other brand of cookies. Why is kashi being deceptive?

Hi iski – I, too, am allergic to tree nuts and peanuts and LOVE chocolate, but can’t eat these cookies either. So trust me when I say I hear your frustration!!! Please know that we always keep this in mind and hopefully one day soon will have a tasty treat that you and I can enjoy :) Until then, try sprinkling a few chocolate chips on the Ripe Strawberry Ashley mentions above, and microwaving for ~8 seconds. It’ll blow your mind!

One idea you could try to keep the cookies fresh is after opening the package just pop the rest of the cookies into a resealable plastic bag (gallon size?)

I am a sales rep so I am always looking for grab and go items to have with my coffee in the morning. I saw these at Target and thought I’d give them a try. They are great but….. I wish they were individually wrapped so I could throw them in my laptop bag and eat as a healthy snack. I saw several people say they ate the whole box. Individually wrapped cookies would help with portion control for sure! BTW, when I came home my Mother had eaten ALL the cookies. Great product!
