Strawberry Fields® cereal has a brand new look and more whole grains!
To make sure you're beginning your day with plenty of whole grain goodness, we have more than tripled the amount of whole grains in our tasty Kashi Strawberry Fields-an increase from 5g to 18g*! Plus, we have decreased the box size by 22 percent in order to eliminate waste and help reduce our carbon footprint.
You may also notice that we have revised the serving size (1 cup) from 32g to 55g to reflect more accurate measuring standards. Some of the nutrition facts have changed as a result of this new serving size, but Strawberry Fields remains the same delicious certified organic cereal with the sweetness and fresh taste of organic strawberries and raspberries in each spoonful!
- 3g Fiber
- 5g Protein
- Low Fat
- Non-GMO Project Verified
- USDA Organic-Certified Organic by Quality Assurance International
We hope you enjoy the new-and-improved cereal as much as we do!
* The Whole Grain Council recommends 48g of whole grains per day.

I loved Strawberry Fields and then my grocery store stopped stocking it. I realized why when I saw the big end cap of Special K Red Berries. I tried it and i buy it now..it has 3 times as much berries in it than Straw Fields and i use yogurt with it instead of milk. I know it’s not healthy as Kashi but I eat well everywhere else in my life so i figure to enjoy some berries in my cereal at a decent price will not kill me. I would travel to find Strawberry Fields or buy online if there was a good ratio of berries in it like Kelloggs. I have been a Kashi purchaser for 12 years. I see you expanded the grains it your product but its the berries that needed to be enpanded. People notice. Thank you for reading.

hello! Is there a reason Strawberry Fields is not under the “Vegan” section of the food preference tab? If anyone knows about this and could please comment it would mean a lot to me! Thanks <3

Also experienced the reduced fruit presence in “Strawberry Fields”. First bowl had no fruit, so I poured the box out on a cookie sheet and found 4 strawberry bits, one strawberry slice, and no raspberries. Also, the inner package had a hole in it. I have already e-mailed you from the “contact us”, so please don’t respond with “sorry you experienced this, call us to discuss it further and receive a free coupon”. Black Currant Walnut experience has been WAY better, though. Thanks.

It’s taken me YEARS—we’re talking double digits here—to get my husband to eat anything but sugar cereal for breakfast. What got him to switch to something more healthful? Strawberry Fields. He loved this cereal and I was pumped that he was eating something so healthful. All was going swell until you recently shrunk the box and the serving size and raised the price. My husband had a fit when he saw the new box and the grocery bill. He went on a rampage about how Kashi is trying to rip us off with your health-halo and he’d rather just eat his sugary stuff because it only costs $3 and it lasts him all week. All that progress….poof, gone. So disappointed.

First of all, I am wondering if anyone at Kashi actually reads these comments and if my posting it will result in any changes… I’m skeptical at best, but decided it’s worth a try! Strawberry fields has been my favorite cereal for the past couple of years. I am really disappointed with the new packaging… the box is shrinking, the strawberries and raspberries are practically nonexistent and to top it off, the price has gone up. So now I get to pay way more for much less. Please tell me how this benefits me?

Glad to see I’m not the only one dissatisfied with the “new” Strawberry Fields.
For me it’s specifically that it has gone up to 200 calories for 1 cup. Totally out of my calorie range for breakfast cereal.
Not to mention the lesser amount of cereal in the box.
And as others have commented, it does seem to have less fruit than before.
Personally, I could care less if this change waa due to concerns about a “carbon footprint”. That crap is not even on my radar screen.
I’ve definitely bought my last box of Strawberry Fields, until such time as they go back to the original formula.
For the time being I’ll still buy Honey Sunshine, and Indigo Morning. But if they change the calorie content, or the amount of product, those will go off my shopping list as well.

Kashi’s new corporate slogan is ‘Never let a good story die for lack of fact.’ I usually buy everything on the shelf when I find Strawberry Fields and have eaten the cereal almost everyday since it was 1st introduced. The "advantages’ of the new improved product are 1)less cereal 2)less fruit 3)At least 50% of the flakes are crushed. To try and pass these ‘improvements’ off as smaller carbon footprint and improved whole grain content are an insult to the intelligence of the customers who helped your company prosper in the first place. I was curious to see if anyone else was upset with the changes and obviously they are. My reaction to the changes is a simple one. I just purchased my last box of the product.

Huge disappointment with the “improved” product. I’ve been on Amazon subscription (8 boxes/month) for quite a while and had eaten this probably 5 days a week for breakfast – unfortunately, the problem with the new product is not the smaller box size, but the significant decrease in the amount of strawberry/rasberries in each serving. As a test, I dumped a whole box into a few bowls and compared with the current picture on the box – not even close in strawberry content although the box cover may have been representative of what the product once was. Looks my search is on for something else, or maybe making the extra effort to fix something like omelettes instead. Very disappointed in seeing a great product destroyed by the bean counters – we understand that prices of food products are going up and would have paid extra, but I am not that interested in a ‘competitive’ price for a product that has been sharply degraded.

Hey Kashi -
Don’t think we haven’t noticed that you’re shrinking the size of your boxes. Last time I went to Trader Joes, I thought it was a joke. I understand why (costs are going up) but I implore you to level with your customers. We can take it. Please don’t try to just sneak things by us, because the problem is only going to get worse and you can only make the boxes so small. — Chris

I use to love this cereal. I have been buying it for a long time! When it is on sale at my favorite store I usually buy alot of it! The last time I bought it I was not pleased about anything…. not the servings per box or the nutrition facts or the taste! I found 1 slice of strawberry and no rasberries in my box. How can it be called Strawberry Fields when there isn’t any strawberries??? There use to be alot of berries in it! I know I will not be buying any more of it as it no longer taste good….and not a good value in any way!

I love the original Strawberry Fields; the new version has gone from a reasonable 120 calories to a whopping 200 calories per cup. I can’t justify eating that. Please, Kashi, give us back the product we love. Or, make both of them and call the new one “High Fiber Strawberry Fields.” Why not keep your customers happy?

While trying to purchase my Strawberry Fields, my husband grabbed the new tiny box. I said no, we’d wait to find a store that still sells the larger box. At that point, he happened to scan the nutritional label and we noticed the HUGE CHANGE to the caloric level of this cereal. I understand that some people want to stuff everything they eat with as much grain/wheat/fiber/you-name-it as possible, but some of us are seriously limited by the caloric content of the food we want to eat. I’m on a low calorie plan and used to simply ADORE that this cereal was only 120 calories for 1 cup serving. It left me feeling full and was large enough of a serving to satisfy my brain as well as my stomach. Now, however, seeing the nutritional label shift to 200 calories, I will no longer be able to eat this cereal, which is a shame since I habitually eat it at least 10 times a week. I am disappointed that the nutrition has changed so much and that the box is so very tiny (who buys a box that only has 5 servings? What other cereal on the market has this lowly amount per box?)

I never thought to log onto this site before today. For the past few months I noticed the box got smaller and the price appears to have gone up. I thought I was going crazy thinking the taste was different also. After reading the comments it now appears I’m not crazy. Thanks to everyone here but I’m curious why Kashi does not appear to respond to comments? Or do they and I’m not seeing their responses…

I could not agree more. Smaller box, less product, same price??? They reduced the size of the box by 22% along with the product. What happened to the price? What is Kashi telling us?? Think about it! I guess they don’t want my business. I now eat it every day and buy 2-3 boxes a week. I think that will definitely change. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this one out. Also, where is the taste? I hope Kashi wakes up or they won’t need to manufacture any more products.

i have loved this cereal for years. in fact, it was the only cereal i ate, but since the recent change to more fiber, it has lost the wonderful sweet, light and ultra crispy quality and its wonderful taste has deteriorated. i recently bought 4 boxes of the old original cereal which i was able to find, but now dread losing my favorite breakfast forever as the original recipe is replaced with the new. PLEASE BRING THE OLD RECIPE BACK!!

I’m with you! The original version was one of the most heavenly breakfast cereals that I’ve tasted, and would have eaten it 3 meals a day if I could. The new version is mediocre at best, and because I have trouble processing wheat in large amounts it’s pretty much inedible for me. Added onto that is that it is one of the few breakfast cereals that works with my diet due to the non-processed natural sweetener and grains, and now I have to find another cereal that will fit the same bill, because I can no longer tolerate this one. Once all of the old version are out of stock in markets I will be a very unhappy camper. WHY DID YOU HAVE TO CHANGE IT?!

Not only did the size decrease. They went way up on the calories. 1 Cup had 120 calories – now it’s a whopping 200 per cup. I really liked this cereal and I’ve been buying it for a long time but it certainly isn’t worth 200 calories per cup for just flakes and strawberries with relatively low protein. Also – does that mean that the cereal has changed or did they miscalculate to begin with? Frustrating!

it was a refreshing, sweet cereal without the artificial taste of sugar or aspartame. It tasted really authentic! And the strawberries tasted like real strawberries, not like your typical piece of rubber with strawberry flavoring. I absolutely LOVED it! I could never go back to another cereal again :D

I oriniginally started buying kashi strawberry fields for myself. After hving to share with my 3 year old daughter every time I poured a bowl I just replaced her cheerios and she has strawberry fields for breakfast now. She loves it and her iron levels have been awesome at every doctor visit which is a relief because they were always low and now the doctor doesnt spend time telling me everything Im feeding her is wrong…

I love this cereal, but I think that they give you less cereal than the box claims to contain. Additionally, the amount of berries they actually give you is dismal :( Kellogg’s gives you more berries in their strawberry cereal than this one, which is disappointing because this is a much better product overall.

Definitely like this cereal for the taste, could have a few more strawberries. But then that is no problem, add my own fresh ‘organic strawberries.’ I am concerned about the 9g of sugar. Is this the result of the cane juice, strawberries and the brown rice syrup, not so bad. But if this refined sugar, not so good! Other than the sugar being my main concern, and the fact is has ‘whole wheat’ I love this cereal!

When I first tried this cereal, I liked it. But then after a little while you get sick of that aftertaste.. tastes like sticky rice. And the strawberries are few. It has quite a bit of sugar, also.
I don’t care for it. And it’s made with white rice flour – not a whole grain = not the best choice. Probably the worst Kashi cereal I’ve had and I’ve tried them all. Heads up, guys. This one you can skip :)Log in or join the community to reply to this review. -

I emailed them the same complaint! The box only gives you 4 1/2 cups of ceral but states 10-12. I felt so cheated! They told me that it was maybe just one box that messed up or that the cereal was crushed up in delivery. Uh, no! I measured all my boxes and found the same thing. I LOVE this cereal but for the price we pay, we should get what is advertised!

I would like to know if any of the ingredients in Strawberry Fields are GMO. My son loves this cereal and I will pay the outrageous price as long as I know that it is organic and Non-GMO. I assumed since it was organic that it was non-GMO but I’ve read some information that Kashi does allow GMO in its products and I want to make sure that it is non-GMO. Thank you.

elizabethvjordan almost 3 years ago
As you can see, this particular cereal (not all of their cereals, mind you) is USDA Organic. This means that it has been regulated and vigorously tested to maintain the seal. Part of this is ensuring that there are no GMOs in this particular cereal. You can be rest assured that if a product bears this seal, your family is safe.
