it was a refreshing, sweet cereal without the artificial taste of sugar or aspartame. It tasted really authentic! And the strawberries tasted like real strawberries, not like your typical piece of rubber with strawberry flavoring. I absolutely LOVED it! I could never go back to another cereal again :D

I oriniginally started buying kashi strawberry fields for myself. After hving to share with my 3 year old daughter every time I poured a bowl I just replaced her cheerios and she has strawberry fields for breakfast now. She loves it and her iron levels have been awesome at every doctor visit which is a relief because they were always low and now the doctor doesnt spend time telling me everything Im feeding her is wrong…

I love this cereal, but I think that they give you less cereal than the box claims to contain. Additionally, the amount of berries they actually give you is dismal :( Kellogg’s gives you more berries in their strawberry cereal than this one, which is disappointing because this is a much better product overall.

Definitely like this cereal for the taste, could have a few more strawberries. But then that is no problem, add my own fresh ‘organic strawberries.’ I am concerned about the 9g of sugar. Is this the result of the cane juice, strawberries and the brown rice syrup, not so bad. But if this refined sugar, not so good! Other than the sugar being my main concern, and the fact is has ‘whole wheat’ I love this cereal!

When I first tried this cereal, I liked it. But then after a little while you get sick of that aftertaste.. tastes like sticky rice. And the strawberries are few. It has quite a bit of sugar, also.
I don’t care for it. And it’s made with white rice flour – not a whole grain = not the best choice. Probably the worst Kashi cereal I’ve had and I’ve tried them all. Heads up, guys. This one you can skip :)Log in or join the community to reply to this review. -

I also agree the box seems to have less cereal but according to the label it has 9 servings per box same as their other cereals.

I emailed them the same complaint! The box only gives you 4 1/2 cups of ceral but states 10-12. I felt so cheated! They told me that it was maybe just one box that messed up or that the cereal was crushed up in delivery. Uh, no! I measured all my boxes and found the same thing. I LOVE this cereal but for the price we pay, we should get what is advertised!

You know the box does seem a bit light. I hope this is not a mistake on the manufacturing part.

I would like to know if any of the ingredients in Strawberry Fields are GMO. My son loves this cereal and I will pay the outrageous price as long as I know that it is organic and Non-GMO. I assumed since it was organic that it was non-GMO but I’ve read some information that Kashi does allow GMO in its products and I want to make sure that it is non-GMO. Thank you.

As you can see, this particular cereal (not all of their cereals, mind you) is USDA Organic. This means that it has been regulated and vigorously tested to maintain the seal. Part of this is ensuring that there are no GMOs in this particular cereal. You can be rest assured that if a product bears this seal, your family is safe.

check by weight, cup size servings are not accurate unless there are 9 cups of cereal in your box. 1 cup and 1.1 oz can be very different measures if you only measure volume and not go the extra step of weighing each serving. So in many cases you are consuming twice the perceived calories if you use only a cup measure.
-
sgtjoebear almost 2 years ago
Contents may settle during shipping LOL emery10 is correct for an accurate measurement you much measure by weight.

wordscape99 about 1 year ago
1.1 oz is only 1/2C on my scale! This means I have been eating at more than twice as many calories for breakfast every day as I thought I was since I usually have about 1-1/2C for breakfast. I am on Weight Watchers and this has made my normal breakfast shoot up from 7 points to 12 points!
However, I still continue to eat this cereal (with Light Vanilla Soymilk) because it is just so delicious! I just wish they would report the serving size information accurately!!!

I adore this cereal; it is scrumptious and marvelous and fantastic. I just wish there were more vitamins and minerals in it. I agree that it be splendid if it were to be produced in a larger box. Please don’t EVER discontinue this cereal. It happens to be one of the only organic cereals I can find that has such delectable dried fruit in it. <3

This cereal is dropping off the shelves of my usual grocery stores and I’m panicked! Please tell me it isn’t being discontinued!
It’s the ONLY cereal I have found I can eat without stomach troubles. I am corn-intollerant. Corn is in EVERYTHING. This cereal is the bright spot in my morning – and sometimes the thing that gets me out of bed.
Please, please, please keep making it.
-
sgtjoebear almost 2 years ago
They are still making loads of it, it must be your grocer. I wouldn’t base my mere existence on a box of cereal lol, a bit sad…

I love this cereal. It has strawberries, raspberries, and it is good for me! My new fave!!!

This is my new favorite cereal! I’ll admit that it is a bit light on the fruit, but I’ll still buy it again because it tasted so good. I’m not a big cereal lover, but I wanted something different for breakfast, so when I saw it on sale, I bought a box, and now I’m hooked!

I carefully examined every box of cereal in Acme for something that I could feed my husband who has lost 34 lbs and has not had bread, rice, potatos or cereal in 11 months. He has been having a severe craving lately and it seems as though he may be cheating from his diet to satisfy the cravings so I bought the Strawberry Fields because it had a good combination of low calorie, low carb and had limited ingredients. This is a huge treat for him and he loves it. Seems to me the amt of strawberries have been adequate although very limited cranberries, if any. My 9 year old likes it also. If they put more fruit in it, my 4 year old will eat it for sure and he has a bottomless pit. It is a little pricey but I try to buy it on sale – just bought 2 for $6. I never see Kashi coupons – would buy more if coupons came in my newspaper or the mail.

My wife and I have been Kashi lovers ever since we first saw the product in the store. Now, however, we are re-thinking our dedication.
We bought a box of Strawberry Fields last week. When I opened it and poured the first bowl, there was not a single piece of fruit. I poured out the entire box, and there were a total of 7 small chunks of strawberry and one large one and not a single raspberry. So, looking at the picture on the box, it’s obvious they put all the fruit in one box on that one spoon of cereal. GreatBritn must have been really lucky!
Another complaint – Servings Per Container: About 9 (1 cup/serving). That’s what it says, but reality showed me there are 5, and that last cup was mostly cereal dust. That’s why Aubdaub5 was able to eat 1/2 box in one sitting – not difficult to eat 2 1/2 cups of cereal.
Taste was good, but it does not justify the $3.54 we paid at Wal-Mart. Better bet is Special-K Strawberry, which has 4 times the strawberries.
I took pictures and will be sending my results to Kashi. Hope they don’t send me coupons!

I tried these for the first time the yesterday and have fallen in love. I needed a snack to tide me over because I was taking part of the national teaching test and so I only had small break during the five hours of testing. Not only did the delicious pieces of dried raspberries and strawberries (combined with the lightly sweetened flakes) tide me over till the test was done, but I had to go home and have a second bowl for a late lunch when I finished. Then I ate a bowl this morning and for a light afternoon snack. Knowing that it’s good for me (and organic) is a plus but honestly I’m not sure I can make the rest of the box last till next week’s grocery trip. I don’t think I can go back to the old sugar filled cereals of my childhood after this… though that’s probably for the best anyway! lol.

I couldn’t believe how something so good could be good for you….. unless you eat half the box in one sitting like I did anyway!

Definitely the best cereal out there. There is so much fruit in it too! Really delicious if you add some vanilla soy milk too! It motivates me to wake up every morning!

I 100% agree with jboor!
This cereal used to be AMAZING! I bragged on it to all my friends and all my family members and got everyone hooked on it because it used to have raspberries and strawberries in it!
Now you get NONE! It’s really upsetting! I thought more of Kashi than this.
This is BAIT AND SWITCH and I will not accept it.
I’m so disappointed in Kashi as I really didn’t take them for a company that would stoop to this level.
I even wrote them out of disgust over this issue and I get a response that it was simply an error, that it doesn’t happen all the time.
Well I’m sorry, this is no error! I’ve gotten 4-5 boxes of disappointment and so has my family and my friends!
We’re all going to stop buying this rip off cereal now that Kashi has taken away what made it so wonderful!
I hope that Kashi sees the error in their ways and will not try to doop their fans like this anymore!
I have a bad taste in my mouth from Kashi now and hope they fix what they’ve done wrong so I can love them once again.-
KashiFan7 almost 2 years agoWell it’s been several months and I stopped buying this cereal because I was mad that they were gypping us on the strawberries and raspberries. I finally got another box last night only to find EVEN LESS fruit!
I AM NOT a happy Kashi customer right now! :(

I know what you mean. The best part of the cereal is the fruit. It angers me that there’s so little. I’d love it if there were more.

Decided to give this a try as it looked very good. When I poured my first bowl however, there wasn’t a single piece of fruit in the bowl! Looked further into the box and actually had to pour out the entire box to find the pieces of fruit. Exactly 10 pieces of strawberries and 1 raspberry in the entire box. That adds up to 11 pieces of fruit to be split between the 9 servings the box holds. Overall flavor is great. Lack of fruit is disappointing.

I think this ceral is awesome! However, I REALLY wish Kashi would offer boxes with bigger portions. I literally finish this box after 3 bowls of cereal.

I love this cereal a lot, but as you said…there isn’t enough cereal in one box. I measure my cereal by serving size, and i only got 3 bowls out of it. It says there is around 9 servings, it’s okay with me if there is a little less, but 3 Bowls!? that’s a lot of money to spend on 3 bowls of cereal.

Hmm.. and still yet another non-response by Kashi?? This is not starting to sit well.

i love waking up in the morning knowing i have a bowl of stawberry fields to look forward to. my family never ate very healthy, so even though i love most fruits and vegies, whole grains and things of that nature usually make me cringe. but no more! there’s no doubt in my mind that i could live off of kashi ceral, as long as i ate a bowl of strawberry fields every morning. maybe even in the afternoon too. make that dinner also. ;)
