I LOVE these bars! I have always loved the combination of banana and chocolate, but the banana in bars like this usually tastes artificial. Not so with these. I will agree that they could have more banana taste, but I love them anyway. I have never noticed any burnt or bitter aftertaste to these and I have a sensitive palate. I found these in my local Target a few times but lately I’m not finding them there anymore. I might have to scope out the supermarkets now that I’m hooked but I hate paying more.
I love these bars and always buy them at Target, as they are cheaper there. Unfortunately, it seems every single time I go there to buy them, they are out of stock, but, all of the other Kashi products are fully stocked. This weekend, I went to three different Targets in the NE Philly area and a Wegman’s and there were no Banana Choc. chip bars to be found and yet again, plenty of other Kashi products were overflowing. Why are they so difficult to keep in stock?! I’m about ready to give up and move on to another brand.

The combo of banana and chocolate sounds so good…but I was disappointed by this bar. It has a weird tangy after-taste and it doesn’t even taste like theres chocolate chips in it. Its a shame that this is the only soft n’ chewy bar kashi offers too.

I found these to be very disappointing, I love banana and these just tasted bad to me. They were almost bitter and tasted and looked burnt. The texture was fine but they had an almost unripe banana smell. Not good and definitely not going to buy these again.
I think these bars are delicious. I want to buy more, but can’t find them in the stores anymore. I will try one more supermarket tonight. I thought maybe they were discontinued. I’m glad to see them on this site and that they still make them.
I absolutely love this bar. It tastes just like home made banana bread and the chocolate chips and little crunchy pieces are a wonderful addition. Please, never stop making these!
My 2 year old son loves these and I am glad they taste pretty good and have 1/2 a serving of veggies. We buy them often, however, the last two batches were burnt on the bottom! Whats up with that? They also tasted less flavorful and dry. I am unsure whether I should buy more since I havent even heard any acknowledgment of this and a future fix. So disappointing!
I am so surprised to see roughly 50% of the members that have rated this bar didn’t love it! This is the greatest food discovery we (hubby and I) have ever made! Other Kashi bars are great and all, but there is something so satisfying about foods that are soft and chewy. We also love the flavor, it’s just sweet enough :)
I was hoping for more of a banana bread flavor. These have a strange sting to them, and as others have said, a not so pleasant aftertaste. I bought them at a wholesale club, so I have 20 bars. I’m hoping my son will like them, but I am not a fan.
It has almost a molasses type taste to it, which I like, and the banana was a bit more of an aftertaste than a full-blown banana taste, also good. I really like them. If you are looking for sweet banana bread taste these are not it, so the first taste may be a bit of a surprise. Love that there are no artificial sweeteners. Good stuff, hope you keep them around.
The bars were just ok. They didn’t have a strong banana taste and left an aftertaste. I love all the other Kashi bars I have tried, but will not purchase the Banana Chocolate Chip bars again.
I really enjoy these bars. Love the nutrition content (not too many calories/fat, high fiber/protein) and enjoy having them as part of my breakfast. The texture is great, but I agree with some of the post below that the taste could use a little refining. My husband doesn’t like them at all.
My mom and I both agreed- we couldn’t taste any banana at all, and there was a slight burned taste. We were super excited to try this, and hope it can be tweeked to make it taste much better!
It had a very strange bitter/burned taste. Plus I couldn’t even taste the banana and the crunchy bits were off putting.

I am hooked on these things! I have an awful time finding them in stock though so I usually buy two or three boxes at a time so I don’t run out. I’ve been trying to eat more healthy and was so happy to find that I actually love these being the picky eater that I am.
I have always loved Kashi’s products, but I recently was disappointed with these Banana Chocolate Chip Soft n’ Chewy Bars. They actually tasted bad, and I typically am not picky when it comes to snacks. I may have just purchased a box from a bad batch, but they were sort of burnt.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this snack bar!!!I agree with Geri, it is an acquired taste at first, once you eat a few you will be HOOKED!! I bring the box to work and i got everybody eating them!! I Love Kashi products!! My pantry at home is stocked with nothing but Kashi <3

These bars seem to be an acquired taste. At first it tastes like over cooked banana bread, but once you eat a bar or two, you can’t stop!
