I agree with Goldfish82…LOVE this cereal with either Silk Soymilk or Silk Vanilla Soymilk. It’s also great as a snack on its own.

  3. User_48

Kashi Island Vanilla and Silk Vanilla Soymilk are a match made in heaven…and is the answer whenever my sweet tooth kicks in! I LOVE this stuff…good job guys!

  4. User_48

Sweet and simple. I’ve heard some people complain that it’s too sweet or that the sweetness is inconsistent, but I think it’s perfect. It’s a new favorite of mine.

  5. User_48

I really like this. I just had to eat it fast because it doesnt stay crunchy long. But it has a really good flavor. I would buy it again.

Althought the flavor was very yummy, the flavoring was not consistant, there were a lot of the biscuits that did not have any flavor, so it was not enjoyable to eat since it was hit or miss. Hopefully they will address this. I would buy again if improved. :) I also don’t eat with milk love it as a snack

Delicious! I don’t eat this as cereal with milk, I just eat it as a snack any time of day. A box usually won’t last me more than 12 hours :)

    love the vanilla sweetness

Probably the best cereal I have ever eaten. Only thing I think could make it better is to have a little LESS sugar. 9g is a bit much for me to call “healthy”. Would like to see what it tastes like with 6g. I would feel better about my kids eating it as well.

LOVE this cereal, but it is very hard to find at my local grocery stores and Target. Why don’t more stores carry it! I’m going to have to order it online at amazon.com I guess. Suggestions, Kashi I didn’t see it at the Kashi online store either.

I am totally addicted to this cereal. I just eat it dry… by the handfuls. I won’t even admit how many boxes I eat a week, but I am cutting back.
Tonight the grocery store I went to to get more, showed that it was DISCONTINUED!!
Is this discontinued by the company or just by the grocery store?

I love that it is organic, low-fat, no cholosterol, high in fiber and protein and delicious. I wish the sugars weren’t quite so high, but I guess that’s what helps make it so delicious. Add fruit to help get in your fruit for the day. I plan to carry a box in my car for a snack when we are traveling. Great product overall! Thanks Kashi people!

I eat this type of cereal 2 times a day: one bowl in the morning and one bowl before going to bed. This is my ritual. I eat it with either walnuts (my favorite topping) or for a change, either pecans or shaved almonds. I love it so much, i have thought about opening a blog where I describe each and every day how good it was for me that day, and how I can’t live without it. Just finding different ways to celebrate the awesomeness of Island Vanilla. Seriously. I have turned my wife, my oldest son, my father in law, mother in law, sister in law and my brother in law. We are all food freaks, we all eat organic food and we all eat this cereal.
I like the fact that i understand all the ingredients of the cereal. I like the fact that is full of fiber and it keeps me full for a long time.
Since I discovered this cereal (like 8 months) ago, we consume around 3 to 4 boxes a week and my wife knows that it is the only thing I really need from the grocey store (besides of course, 1% organic milk and a bag organic walnuts). What is funny is that I never eat desserts when eating out at a restaurant, since I know my dessert will be a bowl of Island Vanilla before going to bed. By the way, I hope this cereal remains in stock forever. As a matter of fact, i would be interested in having some kind of delivery service that keeps track of my cereal stock and re-fills it when running low. I would actually pay for that, and my wife would be so happy since sometimes, she has to go to the grocey store only to replenish our cereal stock. By the way, when our Whole Foods store does not have this flavor, i go for the Cinnamon, which I love too, but it is still below my Island Vanilla obsession.
Keep the good work, Kashi. I will be buying this stuff forever.

jdominguez16, this is what you need…“subscribe and save” at Amazon…you select the interval you want it delivered, and you will never run out. This one is for 4 boxes at a time, I believe you can do one box, too, but that wouldn’t last you very long. :)

Island Vanilla is my new favorite cereal! Although it doesn’t really match the nutritional quality of some other Kashi cereal varieties, it tastes so great that I have to treat myself to a big bowl every now and again. I usually prefer crunchy cereal, but I like to let my Island Vanilla soak in milk a few minutes so that it gets nice and soft before I dig in. It’s sweet enough to be a dessert really. I love it!

I was wondering why Kashi added so much sugar to the Island Vanilla (9 grams/serving). The Autumn Wheat has more than enough sugar at 7 grams/serving.

I did not join Weight Watchers but I followed the eating routine along with my wife who did join. We both have success to brag about. Kashi has been a part of my breakfasts since January 2008 when I was 6 ft 1 inch tall and 216 lbs. I did not get smaller in height but I am down to 180 at my last weigh-in. Those familiar with WW know about counting points. I mix 27 biscuits of Vanilla Island along with 24 biscuits of Shredded Wheat’s Maple Brown Sugar cereal for a total of 6 points. All the fibre in both products mnake it possible. Tha VI taste is great!

I have yet to meet a Kashi cereal I don’t like, so it’s hard for me to say which are my favorites however this is definitely one of the top ranking ones! It has a true deep vanilla flavor that you can taste in every bite, and has the perfect amound of sweetness. It doesnt seem to lose its crunch as quickly as other “shredded wheat” cereals either. Pairs perfectly with unsweetened vanilla almond milk (and is delicious warmed in the microwave too!) I also love that this cereal is organic, soy-free and that you can actually see specks of vanilla bean floating in your milk.

Oh yeah, and I’m also putting a vote in for a pumpkin spice flavor!

I mix this with the Kashi honey puffs and a half banana sliced thin drowned in light vanilla soymilk. Scrumptious!! I used to be a Frosted wheats guy but I was looking for a cereal with less sugar and still relatively sweet. With 1/3 of the sugar and subtle and natural sweetness, island vanilla is an upgrade, not just a substitute. Kudos to Kashi!

Pumpkin spice and also a fruit version (e.g. strawberry, blueberry, apple with dehydrated apple bits, apricot or peach, pumpkin apple cinnamon) all would be delicious. In fact sounds good right now.

This cereal has high notes of vanilla which makes it the best yet in my opinion. The little pieces of vanilla bean tops it all. very good 100%

for fall, I wish they’d come out with a Pumpkin Spice flavor, it would be different but Quaker Oatmeal has a variety like that why not make it into a cereal… with hints of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg etc..delicious.
