I love Kashi U! Everything about it is fantastic…except finding it. I resorted to ordering it off the internet because Walmart (the only store I could find it in) stopped selling it recently. I have no problem ordering it…I just hope they NEVER stop making it!

MissCaren 7 months agoOh my gosh. I can’t believe how many people are addicted to this cereal as much as I am. I go thru 2 boxes a week. Kashi is the only brand of cold cereal that I like, and I love this one.

There are few foods I could ever imagine eating every day, much less by choice…but this is perfect in every way. I’m in NYC and am surprised I have to order it online…and freak out if when my box count gets below three. I mix it with a cup of my favourite yogurt and have eaten it every morn for about two years. My desire has yet to wane. The flakes are unlike any of your others and the best out there with their wonderful taste and lasting crunch that gives each mouthful a marvelous texture. The currents give a good tangy contrast. The walnuts are walnuts. I could do without them, but love the cereal, regardless. The nutrients are an added plus for me. ;-) Why not sell other versions of the flakes with assorted dried fruits and/or a variety of other seeds and nuts? Keep the great products coming!

i feel like this variety is something for people with a more refined taste profile. It offers a plethora of textures and flavors, so it is great the way it is. There are other kashi cereal that can alternatively be used if you only want sweet/ crunchy, or would rather have without the currants or walnuts. this cereal is the meeting place for all of those, and should stay that way. my only comment: please make the packaging bigger (more servings). it is pretty expensive
Thanks

Daniiello didn't love this. about 1 year agoI really liked the taste of the flakes, walnuts, and oat clusters! However, I had to pick-out the currants and save them for homemade trail mix instead. They are too bitter with milk. I prefer to add fresh fruit, and the currants really did not go well with the milk/fruit combination! However, I liked how the flakes seemed more crunchier then other Kashi products.

I love the taste and crunch. I believe it makes for a healthy breakfast or sometimes an evening snack since I only do two “meals” per day. I was never a cold cereal person until “U” came along. I add more walnuts, frozen wild Maine Blueberries and Washington Red Raspberries from Target, fresh banana and Blue Diamond Original Almond Milk. I have it at least three times a week.

I love this cereal but i simply cannot find it anywhere – Your store locater states a chain of grocery stores in my zip code. I’ve gone to at least 4 and those stores do not carry Kashi U! – I suggest you verify before you put up those stores in your web site. Too bad i have to order cereal by mail and pay postage!!

I love Kashi, and Kashi U is my favorite cereal ever! However, I can no longer eat Kashi U because it is fortified with folid acid. I am writing to ask whether you would consider discontinuing such fortification; it is my understanding that foods made with whole grains are exempt from mandatory fortification requirements. Although it is thought to be impossible to get too much folic acid from natural foods like lettuce, a growing body of reliable research has demonstrated a link between increased rates of lung and colon cancer and high levels of supplemental folic acid in one’s blood; the increased rates of in these cancers has coincided with implementation of mandatory folic acid fortification of foods in the USA, Canada, and Chili; research studies conducted in Norway, where foods are not fortified, have corroborated these results. Many thanks for your kind attention to this important matter. Here is a link to reliable information re this issue: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35874922/

As you might infer from my user name, currants are one of my favorite foods. It’s unfortunate that they are so rare in North America, but Kashi has really hit the spot with this great combination of black currants, walnuts, and of course their delicious blend of seven whole grains and natural, minimally processed sweeteners. One glance at the nutrition label reveals that this cereal is truly a powerhouse of heart-healthy vitamins and minerals and even omega-3 fats. I am indebted to Kashi for providing a delicious, healthy vehicle for my currant cravings.

It was a bit on the super crunchy side, but after sitting in milk for a bit, it wasn’t so hard on my jaws to chew. Still, it was very flavorful and a great way to start off the day!

I am addicted to this cereal, but have a hard time finding it, even at Albertsons. Beleive it or not, the military commissary was where I found it first and buy several boxes there whenever we go. It just does last long enough between trips. I too wish for larger boxes.

I eat it every morning, with hemp milk. U is very complex in its ingredients, and I don’t get tired of it. My local Whole Foods has had it on sale lately, and I’ve stockpiled it. I wish the boxes were bigger- I go through them quickly. The price around the country really varies- I’ve seen a variation of over $2 per box. I think U is the best cereal on the market today and I wish more stores carried it.

I absolutely love the new U cereal. Since being introduced to it by a friend, I’ve bought 3 more boxes. I just wish the box was bigger b/c I go through it so quickly. I love the perfect balance of whole grains with the tart berries- it’s the perfect blend and it’s healthy. I look forward to breakfast in the morning and starting my day with the U cereal. I also love the packaging and that there was a download for Mason Jennings inside- one of my favorite musicians. This cereal is unique and stands out for sure and should be heavily promoted. I rarely take the time to write about products but this one is well deserved. Great job Kashi team!!

This is great! The cereal is delicious and I really love the box. I know it sounds crazy but its such a responsible and incredibly positive thing to do for the Earth; not to mention it looks great and really stands out on the shelf! I’d love all packaging to be like that. In fact, have you thought of updating the rest of your product packaging?..

Kashi U saved my health. I was irregular and had many health concerns for six months. I tried many different things to change my health. I ate healthier, I exercised more. None of it worked until my roommate told me to try Kashi. I bought the first box I saw at my local Wal-Mart, and I have been hooked since then. I sometimes put in season fruits to add to the goodness. Try it with raspberries. Amazing!

Agitz: Try eating some protein and perhaps V-8 juice with your morning cereal. That will add balance, and we learned in my husband’s Type II nutrition class that it is the balance in a meal which helps to stabalize the blood sugar.

Kashi “U” is a cereal worth trying.
For the first time in our 33-yr. marriage, my husband is eating Kashi “U” for breakfast, everyday! It’s VERY hard to find and we live in Manhattan. I’ve asked several store managers for it and have been told they can’t get it…so, what’s up, Kellogg??
You can buy it on Amazon…4 boxes at a time for about $20, which isn’t much more than retail.-
