So so so so disappointed that this original, fantastic, only edible cereal on the planet, seems to be getting short shrift by Kashi itself. I used to buy it here in North East Texas, but no more. Instead the shelves are full of all kinds of Kashi cerals and bars — none of them even come close to the wonderful texture, taste and perfect LACK of sweetness of original Kashi 7 Grain Puffs.

I have been eating Kashi 7 grain cereal for the past 25 yrs & still enjoy it as brkfst & a snack mixed with raisins, craisins, nuts. Now living in PA it was so difficult to find a store close by that I took to ordering online. My disappointment in the current packaging was very great – to decrease the quantity w/o a notice on that page was irresponsible. I am 84 now & don’t like shopping in different stores to find the products I like. I’m willing to pay a little more just put the quantity back & in the original box. I do my best to eat healthy but it seems to become more & more difficult. I’d try some of your other products but when I look at the ingredients the salt & sugar are way more than necessary so I no longer believe any labeling w/o reading the ingredients. ‘Nuff said Bring back the old product or I’ll have to find another product that meets all my requirements including value for price.

I strongly suspect this is purely about profit. What I resent the most, however, is their attempt make 1 ounce less seem like the same – or more through deception, i.e., Making the box taller and slimmer is something I would have expected from General Mills, et.al., but certainly not from Kashi. As a result I’ve dumped Kashi and have switched to Simply Fiber and Erewhon Crispy Brown Rice cereals.

I, too, was very disappointed to see the smaller box. I hope Kashi Consumer Relations is reading these boards. This is a staple food at our house and the increased price is not negligible for us – it amounts to an extra box every two weeks, or about $80-90/year to remain a consumer. Moreover, the larger carbon footprint as mentioned below is pretty unconscionable, as far as I am concerned. The new plastic bag is heavier as well, what does that say? Between this and the misleading non-gmo assertion-debacle a few months’ back reported in Huffington Post, my goodwill toward this business is really waning.

Kashi’s seven whole grain puffs has been my breakfast for the past ten years, but I’m giving it up as of today. The smaller box size and higher price make it an unmanageable product and increased usage (more boxes, inside liners, etc) means a LARGER carbon footprint for this company, not smaller. Apparently nobody thought people will consume the same amount, use more packaging per week increasing costs for everyone. It’s a shame this company is unable to think through the rationalization process they’ve submitted before actually implementing their consumer plan. More boxes=bigger carbon footprint, not smaller, which is contrary to their postings on their own website. Love the product, but now it’s a hassle to buy and eat in a significantly smaller box.

I’ve noticed that too. I believe it is due to the Non-GMO Verification because all the cereals that are Non GMO verified are now in smaller containers. I’m glad that its “verified” but I am with you. I’d rather pay for the cereal I’m eating, not the Non-GMO stamp

It really like the taste, but the hard rice is terrible to bite into. I had a toothache for days!

I was eating Kashi Puffs everyday for years. Then I left the country for a few years, and when I returned I couldn’t find it anywhere! I’m happy to see it isn’t discontinued, and that according to this zip code finder, there are some stores in my area that still carry it. Kashi Puffs are about the only cereal that don’t have sugar in them. I find them delicious, and satisfying.

Hmmm…the only Kashi Cereal I don’t like so far. Has no taste whatsoever which I could handle considering it has no sugar (which is great – don’t get me wrong) BUT it also doesn’t have any real fiber or protein to compensate for the lack of taste. I could certainly learn to like it if it offered me those, in my opinion ‘Kashi standards’, but since it doesn’t, I see no reason to eat it. My only Kashi disappointment thus far…

You have to look for it, but don’t give up. I can often find it at SuperWalmart, Fresh Market, and some other health food stores and big chains.

No one else in my house will eat Puffs because it has no added sugar and the taste is obviously not as sweet as most breakfast cereals. I got hooked on Kashi Puffs when I was limiting my calories and trying to lose weight. Now that I’ve reached my weight goal, I allow myself to eat a lot of the sweeter varieties, but I still enjoy a bowl of good ole Puffs occasionally, especially mixed together with a handful of blueberries or blackberries.

You sent me a sample of the Honey Puffs & loved it from the get-go. It’s good with milk but I ended up eating most of it out of hand as a snack. Yum! Please send more coupons!

I love this cereal! I got it for my 16 month old daughter because cereal with sugar just makes her too jittery and fussy. She handles this cereal very well, and really likes eating it!

Love this cereal! I tried this cereal for the first time about a year ago and hated it. I had it once and then had to throw the box out cause I just couldn’t finish it. I thought it was too airy and REALLY bland.
But now that I’ve been eating a lot healthier, I came back to this cereal because it has the perfect nutritional stats. And it has no sugar! Which at first I hated, but now I am grateful that I can find a whole-grain healthy cereal with NO SUGAR. There are too many cereals out there pumped with too much unnecessary sweeteners.
For the PERFECT BREAKFAST (or snack), try this recipe:
1 cup 7 Whole Grain Puffs Cereal
1/4 cup fresh blueberries (about 25 blueberries)
1/2 cup fresh sliced strawberries (about 4 small strawberries or 2 big strawberries)
1/2 Tbsp organic raisins
1/2 Tbsp organic semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 Tbsp sliced almonds
1/2 Tbsp pine nuts
1/2 cup Light Vanilla Silk Soy Milk= Superb, filling, fantastic treat (and only about 250 calories)
This mix is so yummy with just the right amount of sweet. Try it! you’ll love it.
