This was great and filling lunch. I totally loved the spicy sauce, but if you got a bite w/o it, there’s an off/ bitter taste.
This was the best frozen meal I have ever tasted. And I have tasted many;)
My husband just recently found this in the store and brought it home for me to take to work. It is very tastey! I will definately be purchasing it again and again and . . .
This one was my least favorite so far. Just didn’t do it for me.
Savory, slightly smoky, and delicious.
I had this for lunch today and it was so good. Great smoky flavor, veggies cooked just right and you’d never even know that it was whole grain pasta. And VEGAN! This is so on my list of stock up items to have for those days I just don’t want to cook.
YUM!!!
Thank you for continuing to meet the vegan’s dietary needs. Please consider becoming a leader in reducing the sodium levels of frozen food, I know this is a challenge, but if not Kashi then who!!!!!!!!!!!thanks for your leadership in nutritional eating
Very good and kinda smoky tasting.
Just tried this one today…yum! GREAT flavor, much more savory than most packaged dinners, and seems more wholesome.
I liked it …. but, it had a lot of garlic and I have a massive sensitivity to garlic. So that was a real downer. I find a lot of package foods contain garlic and it’s hard to avoid. That and bell peppers. :(
Didn’t care for it. Something in it smelled like sweat! Sorry… :(
And I agree w/ jaxzaustin—what’s with every frozen entree being packed with peppers?!
I picked this up because it was on sale. I’m glad I did, I really like it (what I can taste, I’m sick). It has a kick to it, which is what I like. It’s a little high in sodium, but honestly the pros outweigh the cons (9 g total fat, 1.5g saturated fat, only 260 calories, low sugar, 8g fiber).
I 3rd what Jax and Beth said, what is up with peppers in everything? I’m a vegetarian and have a food intolerance to them. I can only eat them in small doses (hate the flavor anyway). Do away with bell peppers in frozen veggie meals!
When I requested the free frozen entree coupon, I checked out these reviews so that I could decide which entree I would try. I had pretty much decided against the Tuscan Veggie Bake because of the less-than-enthusiastic reviews. But when I was standing in that frozen foods section today, I just had to go with my gut. Boy am I glad I did! I prepared the entree in the oven, sprinkled it with a little sea salt and garlic powder, drizzled a little EVOO — and it was DIVINE! I had to convince myself not to lick the dish! With a big, beautiful salad, it was a fantastic meal. If you are thinking about trying this entree, don’t be swayed by the negative or indifferent reviews. I very highly recommend it!
This is such a delicious dish, it is easy to forget it came from the microwave. Tonight I’m attempting to replicate it, but I am skeptical. I am dying to try the Mayan bake, but our stores in NJ don’t carry them yet.
Well…..I don’t like the spices. Too spicy (like the cheese pizza). Still tasting it. I had to eat bread with this Tuscan entree to get it down. Blah and yuk. Think I’ll stick with the pizzas.
I love how perfectly spicy this is! Yum!
This was gross. Had a mushy-watery texture. Was a bit spicy, but the overall flavor was just bad. Would never buy it again. Good thing I got it for free with the coupon that was offered on this site.
This is definitely my least favorite and I do love the frozen dinners. As a matter of fact, I take one to work for my lunch almost every day. I didn’t like the flavor and I didn’t like the texture. Taking this one comlpetely off my list!
Though I have some suggestions for improvement, overall this is quite delicious. First off, the package doesn’t mention there are actually two sauces: tomato sauce and white sauce. I absolutely ADORED the tomato sauce and LITERALLY licked it off the plate, however I didn’t really like the white sauce at all- I despise most sauces of this type. I was just reading the ingredients trying to figure out how they could put an alfredo-type sauce in a vegan entree (as such sauces are usually loaded with butter, cream, and cheese)- its difficult to tell but I think it was made from white beans. In addition, being a sweet potato addict I was disappointed with the texture and the flavor of the sweet potatoes in the dish; besides, they just seemed out of place in an Italian-inspired meal. However, the rest of the dish was just to die for!!! Incredible noodles, incredible sauce, incredible vegetables. If I could give this dish a remake I would remove white sauce and sweet potatoes and increase everything else, especially the roasted eggplant.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: I ADORE the noodles in kashi entrees and appreciate that the pasta dishes aren’t loaded with excessive cheese. I think kashi should: create more 1. cheese-less noodle dishes (like this one) and 2. start selling their noodles separately.
Thanks for making healthy delicious kashi!
