1. Really fussy cooking instructions. Coworkers waiting for the microwave don’t appreciate me taking the time to cook this. 2. It’s delightfully delicious and different from anything else in the freezer section. 3. Rather high in carbs for the small (but filling) serving. 4. Please quit putting nuts and seeds in everything.

I can no longer find this particular variety in ANY of my local groceries… WalMart, Hannaford, Price Chopper, Target… None of them! I absolutely Love Mayan Harvest Bake and could eat it daily, but can’t find it anymore…. I don’t eat too much meat, and this was just a perfect dish without the standard pasta and cheese. So many textures and flavors. Help!!! How can I get my hands on this?

this dish is very awkward, i purchased this because of the high rating and was little disspointed, if you are calories conscious like me, then skip this dish, it is not worth the extra calories. the only sweet part is sweet potato and plantain by itself is very blend, i would call it as “sweet and spicy vegetable bake.” of course it will be packed with fiber, because it is filled with vegetables and has little protein,,, bad one kashi

I called and was told that Kashi switched to a “higher quality” plantain supplier and they are now back in production. I was also told that stores should start receiving them within the next month. Yea!
I don’t know why they couldn’t have posted this when the switch was happening. Maybe they don’t read their comments??

I am having a hard time finding the Mayan Harvest bake entree in Atlanta, Ga. This is the best entree you all probably have (I have tried most others Kashi entrees). Are you all able to provide an explanation about its absence? I noticed all others are pretty much still out there.

Best frozen meal ever! Best item in Kashi’s line. Love them plantains & grains. Oh for another Mayan Harvest Bake, BUT CAN’T FIND THEM for the last month or so in eastern Washington’s Tri Cities (Wallmart, Freed Meyer, Albertsons or in Huntsville Alabama (Publix, Krogers). Other Mayan Harvest lovers across the country note its absence. What’s up with this??? Please bring it back!!

I love the taste of this. It’s one of my favorites! HOWEVER, i’ve come to realize that I must be having an allergic reaction to it b/c every time I eat it my eyes burn up! Has anyone had that happen to them? I couldn’t put 2 and 2 together b/c I don’t eat it all the time. But this week I ate it twice and twice I thought my eyes were on fire! Any ideas?

I was excited to try this and overall liked it, but I was a bit disappointed because it had maybe a half a teaspoon of kale, at most. Was it just me? Maybe a bad batch? I love the flavor concept.. the plantains were tasty and the ancho sauce and pumpkin seeds were a nice touch. Really needed more kale and it certainly didn’t look like the picture on the box.

I like the convenience of frozen meals but hate the typical cardboard “cuisine”. I grabbed this on a whim and I was amazed. This is delicious. I love the unique vegetables, the sauce, the mix of grains. I am not vegan or vegetarian but have been trying to eat less meat — this will certainly stay on my shopping list.

I grabbed this today at the supermarket, by accident! When I got to work, I noticed the green ‘Vegan’ stamp at the bottom. I decided to try it anyway. I am so glad I did. It had a multitude of flavors, and textures. The Ancho sauce was amazing, and the plantains came out perfect! This is the best supermarket mistake I’ve ever made! I can’t wait to get another! Thanks Kashi!

Oh my gosh! I’ve had this in my freezer for a little while, curious but a little afraid to try it. It was fantastic. What a wonderful blend of flavors and textures! Hope this one is around for a long time!

This looks good but I have one question… Why is it that a company like Kashi who is supposed to be “healthy” insists on using sugar in EVERYTHING they make? Does anyone out there really believe that “evaporated cane juice crystals” is any different than sugar? Just so you all know it is NOT. It breaks down the same in your system. This means hypoglycemics and diabetics cannot eat this. So the big question is why don’t they use “Stevia or Agave?” I have been trying to figure this one out for some time. If anyone knows please share. Sugar is poison STRAIGHT UP. I can’t wait to see who will be the first company to come out in the “non health food”grocery store with a product that does not use sugar or splenda.

Evaporated cane juice is made from the same stuff as white sugar, but there is a big difference in the way they are processed. Please educate yourself here: http://www.livestrong.com/article/392941-white-sugar-vs-organic-evaporated-cane-juice/

I was in an adventurous mood last night while shopping and decided to give this a try. I usually don’t like sweet potatoes, rarely eat kale, and have never eaten plantains or amaranth before. This is WONDERFUL, I absolutely loved it. The balance of spicy and sweet was outstanding. Definitely a winner, will purchase it again and looking forward to trying other Kashi entrees!
