I grabbed this today at the supermarket, by accident! When I got to work, I noticed the green ‘Vegan’ stamp at the bottom. I decided to try it anyway. I am so glad I did. It had a multitude of flavors, and textures. The Ancho sauce was amazing, and the plantains came out perfect! This is the best supermarket mistake I’ve ever made! I can’t wait to get another! Thanks Kashi!

Oh my gosh! I’ve had this in my freezer for a little while, curious but a little afraid to try it. It was fantastic. What a wonderful blend of flavors and textures! Hope this one is around for a long time!

I had a coupon and I stood at the freezer case, reviewing my options. It was the first time I saw Mayan Harvest Bake and thought it was a strange combination of ingredients. I figured, why not, I have a coupon, if I hate it, it’s not that expensive. I LOVED IT!! I went back to buy more and they were out of stock. I keep looking but they still haven’t restocked. I want more!!

This looks good but I have one question… Why is it that a company like Kashi who is supposed to be “healthy” insists on using sugar in EVERYTHING they make? Does anyone out there really believe that “evaporated cane juice crystals” is any different than sugar? Just so you all know it is NOT. It breaks down the same in your system. This means hypoglycemics and diabetics cannot eat this. So the big question is why don’t they use “Stevia or Agave?” I have been trying to figure this one out for some time. If anyone knows please share. Sugar is poison STRAIGHT UP. I can’t wait to see who will be the first company to come out in the “non health food”grocery store with a product that does not use sugar or splenda.

Evaporated cane juice is made from the same stuff as white sugar, but there is a big difference in the way they are processed. Please educate yourself here: http://www.livestrong.com/article/392941-white-sugar-vs-organic-evaporated-cane-juice/

I was in an adventurous mood last night while shopping and decided to give this a try. I usually don’t like sweet potatoes, rarely eat kale, and have never eaten plantains or amaranth before. This is WONDERFUL, I absolutely loved it. The balance of spicy and sweet was outstanding. Definitely a winner, will purchase it again and looking forward to trying other Kashi entrees!

I’m a carnivore but this is one of the best vegan meals I’ve ever had! Especially the plantains so sweet! I don’t even like microwave meals due to freshness and ridiculous amounts of sodium but this meal tastes so fresh, so delicious healthy and earthy like I’m on the reservation over a kettle fire. Also reminds me of one of my best vegan meals ever at the Hare Krishna Temple in Laguna Beach. Called (Mayan Harvest Bake). Fyi if you don’t have an experienced pallet and have not had the pleasure of eating outside your American comfort food….then TRY IT!

Hello,
I am very concerned about genetically modified foods, and I understand that Kashi foods may contain GMO’s. I have tried doing a search of your website, without any results. I stumbled across one comment in the comments for Cherry Dark Chocolate bars, but that is all that I could find.
Could you please clarify whether or not your foods contain GMO’s or not?
Thank you.
Blessings in Christ to You and Yours. -
Kashi’s Mayan Harvest Bake is by far the best healthy commercially prepared frozen entree I have ever tried, and I am hard pressed to eat anything not home made from fresh ingredients. I will definitely buy this again to have on hand for those rare occasions when I am too tired to prepare something myself. Yesterday, after a 30 mile bike ride in heavy winds, was one of those times. Mayan Harvest Bake will be something I recommend to family and friends. It’s great for when you want something starchy, comforting, sweet and spicy, but you’ve got to have that protein too within reasonable fat and calorie limits. Excellent job, Kashi!

Great entree, low in sodium which is my new yard stick, must be under 400 mg for me to purchase these days, hard to find but they are out there. The Mayan Harvest Bake comes in at 380 mg. Very filling at 340 cal.

This frozen entree is SO unique and delicious! The sweet and spicy combo is fabulous.

I love this one, wish I could afford to buy it more often. Heck I want a whole case of it right off the truck…

As a vegetarian with an adventurous palate, I love this meal! Lovely flavors, textures and the kinds of ingredients you just can’t find in most frozen entrees. Thanks!

I love all the different textures in this entree. I go to different stores to buy it, but this particular entree seems to be very popular because every time they have only 2-3 of it.
A big plus here is that it is VEGAN (because I don’t eat eggs or meat), whereas most of the Kashi entrees have eggs in it. Also, I can have it for dinner and will not feel hungry until next morning.

I really like stew-textures, and really, really like this one: the softness is not a turn-off at all, the pepitas add a nice texture, and I love the plantains. The blend of tart & sweet tastes with the moderate spiciness of the sauce and beans is exactly to my liking. Have had it twice and will have it more! Bravo!

This is so good!
I bought this on a whim at a wal mart of all places….trying to keep better food in the house, low salt/sugar and more protein and whole grains. This entree was delicious.
I could become a vegan if I ate this every night! perfect combo of sweet/spicy, the crunch of pumpkin seeds and the polenta….I should have a vegetarian thanksgiving and serve this! Will keep stocked in the freezer….
