send2cooke loved this. over 1 year agoGreat sweet & sour sauce, although not tradition (it seems to be tomato-based?). But at least it’s not red dye and corn syrup. I loved the flavor you get from roasting the green beans … they even have grill marks on them. Very tasty. And the mushrooms and edamame ad nice flavor and texture contrast also. It is very sweet, but I like that. Delicious!

Kellogg’s, under their Kashi brand, has some foods I really like, & that are healthy & taste great. This entree, unfortunately, has 25 grams of sugar (= more than 6 teaspoons). Dietary guidelines (& nutritionists) recommend consuming no more than about 6 teaspoons per full day. Products with “healthy whole grains”, but with lots of added sugar, is becoming very common (unfortunately).

Our kitchen is being remodeled so I was happy to find Kashi frozen entrees after a month of eating poorly. I loved the Sweet & Sour Chicken entree except for the three bites of inedible gristle among the six bites of chicken. Very disappointing. I hope it was a fluke because Kashi has always been a brand I trust for quality cereal. I was hoping to expand our menu.

Just tried this for lunch and it was absolutely delicious and filling. I had some leftover grilled chicken and added it to the meal halfway through the cooking time. I will definitely try some of the other ones. I’m thinking this is great to have for those times when I don’t feel like cooking but want something I could get at a restuarant without the price tag. Thanks for making something so good!

I just had an episode with my heart and needed to watch my salt. This meal is one of the best I found in the frozen food section for low sodium, but you’d not know it from the great flavor. I have one question though, I’ve recently been put on Koumadin, I see that this meal has Endame in it which can be high in Vitamin K. I need to monitor my Vitamin K intake (not cut out but track and try to keep consistant). I don’t see that Vitamin K is something that is on the Nutrition Panel on the box or online. Any way to find out how much K is in this and other Kashi Frozen Entre’s?

I had never tried Kashi before, the Sweet & Sour Chicken became my “free frozen entree” coupon meal and was pleasantly surprised. This was very good, and unlike many brands not a bit of the meat was creepy. I didn’t find myself picking any of it out (and I’m rather picky).
Nor was there any of the other tricks I’ve come to expect from frozen dinners, i.e. a bowel with a wide rim and dented in bottom to give you less. Kashi was actually true to box size.Log in or join the community to reply to this comment. -

Usually I love Kashi and their items, but this dish did nothing for me. The sauce is overwhelming and unpleasant. Plus, there is so much sodium!!! The chicken did not seem to be in good quality. The most enjoyable part was the pilaf. I would like it if the sauce came seperatly so we could choose how much flavor and sodium we wanted.

Just tried this one last night and I will definitely be buying more of it. Yum-o! This and the Chicken Florentine are now my two fav Kashi entrees.

I thought this one was a little bit too sweet. Soy sauce made it better

Love it! First bought this while on the Flat Belly Diet. Add 2 tbsp of almonds or cashews for a great, fast FBD meal!

This is my favorite Kashi dinner!! I love sweet stuff, though. If you don’t like sweet meals then you won’t like this. (Even sweeter than many sweet and sour Chinese dishes.) All the veggies are so good, the chicken is good quality, the size of the meal is perfect, and the rice is full of fiber so you get full faster. Sometimes I get full so fast I can’t finish this one…and that’s saying alot for me! It’s fun to put it in the fridge and re-heat later, even. :) This is one of my favorite frozen dinners (next to L.C.’s Sesame Chicken!). Try it, it’s well worth the cost!

I am trying this one at lunch today…I hope it’s good! The only one I have left to try is the lemongrass coconut chicken and the only one I have not liked so far is the black been mango.
