Meh, okay. Didn’t love it. Didn’t hate it. However, as far as frozen entrees go, it’s still a good choice given the lower sodium content and whole grain pasta. I noticed a bit of freezer burn on the pasta, but it didn’t appear to impact the taste or the texture once heated. Had an okay basil flavor, but could have used a bit more. The peas were good. Needed a little doctoring.. added some sliced fresh cherry tomatoes and a little grated Parmesan after cooking.

It didn’t taste good at all. I absolutely love the Southwest Style Chicken, but found the Pesto Pasta Primavera to be really awful tasting. I feel I should get my money back, it was so bad. I like pesto usually, but this meal just had a bad flavor. I like peas too, but they might have been part of the problem in this meal.

I liked this one a lot. Everyone at work said it smelled great (I’m sure my breath didn’t afterward though). It tasted very fresh- not bland like some frozen meals. I also love the whole grain pasta- also hard to find in frozen meals (this is why I spend more for better quality). Yes, I agree that it could use more cheese, but I suppose you could always add that yourself.

I love pesto and haven’t had a frozen meal that gets pesto right like this one does…I really like it! One suggestion would be to add some chicken to the dish…I think that would make it more filling.

It has 11 grams of protein! That’s as much as any fast food hamburger, but kashi does it without meat!

I generally like the Kashi frozen entrees, but this one is just kind of weird. The pesto taste goes away fast and there is this weird aftertaste. I think it’s either the combination of the sweetness of the peas and the pesto. Or the bitterness of the pasta and the peppers. Either way, it makes a bland and unpleasant aftertaste.

Pesto Pasta Primavera is a delicious vegetarian option. I really enjoyed the pleasant and savory flavor of the basil pesto sauce with the nutty flavor of the multigrain pasta and veggies. However I would like to have had a more peas and parmesan cheese, but overall this meal is very filling and satisfying.

I hated this one, this is the least flavorful pesto I’ve ever had.

I really liked the pesto sauce, but wasn’t loving the carrots. They were a little to crunchy for me, but I can be kind of weird about texture. This won’t be one of my go to meals, but I might try it again sometime.

My first try. Quite tasty, but I have two comments:
RE sodium: way too much sodium.(the amount of sodium is suitable for a shared side dish for two)
RE peas: I found the peas very mushy. Actually, if you are going to use peas, petite peas would be a much better choice. Also – might be better if they were packaged separately and added during the second half of cooking. Frozen peas need very little cooking.

Wow, this meal had EVERTHING in it! It’s Lenten season, which means no meat on Friday’s for me. I spotted this meal in the store and was caught by it’s unique feautres. Plus, you guys had me sold with the whole grain pasta :) The flavor was perfect, and the texture amazing. I imagine for a typical person, this meal would also be very filling. Though being an endurance athlete, I added a side of grilled shrimp and pineapple, which balanced out the meal nicely (plus gave me a tad more protein).
Overall, I am very pleased! And I also just got my free entree cupon in the mail today, so plan on heading out to the grocery store to take advantage of it. If I don’t find another good meatless entree by Kashi, I know that this one is a fabulous standby :) Thank you for making such a delectable, yet healthy meal! Keep ‘em coming, Kashi!

Does anyone know if the parmesan cheese has rennet?

This is one of my favorite frozen meals, and quite a few brands and types are in my freezer! I agree with previous posters that I wish the sodium content was less, as the salt sometimes overpowers the pesto taste. But I do love that the veggies are still crunchy and not mushy, and the whole grain penne tastes great and isn’t overcooked at all.

I like this dish – the pesto and peas are Yum and the multigrain pasta has a nice nutty taste and texture. One thing – please reduce the salt. It should not be necessary to put 750g of salt into a meal. People can add their own salt if they want more. When I see high salt values I wonder whether the manufacturer is trying to cover a lack of actual taste. This dish doesn’t need a cover up..

such a tasty basil pesto sauce. I was hesitant to try this one because the media says pasta makes you fat. I also have a history of migraines from eating heavy breads and pasta. somethign about the whole grains used to make this pasta really does last you through the day. Its so fillign and sustaining, that I find it hard to get in my veggie and fruit daily snacks! I have no problems with digesting this meal, other pastas I cant, but this one is perfectly healthy!

I liked this meal very much. To bulk it up AND lessen the saltiness, i cut up some broccoli and threw it in when i lifted the plastic to stir it up. It made it feel less greasy, too.
