The lemongrass coconut chicken was surprisingly delicious! Surprisng because I wouldn’t expect that from a frozen meal. Crunchy whole grains made it so much more interesting than regular white rice. Great seasoning. Very satisfying.
Great stuff. It’s very hard to find healthier, better tasting frozen entrees than Kashi’s. And plenty of choices to rotate through during the week! Lemongrass coconut chicken is my favorite.
The flavors in this were wonderfully subtle, and the smell was amazing. My only issue is that after eating this, i realized that most of the coconut flakes had become stuck in between my teeth. It was surprisingly difficult to get it out, and I had to be a little rough, resulting in some swollen gums the next day. For that reason alone, I doubt I will buy this delightful tasting product again.
I LOVE this product! It is sooooo good. I love lemon and I don’t find the lemon overpowering at all. Plus just the combination of everything else in this dish is so good. I have never had any frozen dinner that had chicken so good and actually tasted like chicken and not some pressed together square of mystery meat! If you have never tried Kashi frozen entrees they are well worth it and I definitely recommend this one. Keep up the good work Kashi….I love your products :-)
I loved the lemongrass coconut chicken. It is my new favorite (until my next Kashi entree). I just really like Kashi products. :)
Love the lemongrass taste and gentle touch of heat (the spicy kind). The lemongrass flavor is true to flavor; lemongrass has a green note that lemon doesn’t have. Only recommendation is cut back on the salt. Otherwise, this is a winner!
Loved the lemongrass coconut, wish it came with Shrimp.
Didn’t taste lemony enough to me. SMELLED like lemons, tasted bland. Toooooo blanddddd. A common problem with Kashi Entrees. Spicy and bland.
I absolutely love this entree. Great flavors with the little crunch from the quinoa and barley. I am sad the Lime Cilantro Shrimp entree was cancelled.
i had the lemongrass chicken and it tasted like those wet napkins used to clean your hands. it was totally awful and i think the people that said they loved it have just got out of prison.i am afraid to try your other dishes cause i am not fussy so i might buy one and die.i would prefer lemon pledge.yuck yuck
I totally agree. There was way to much lemon flavor. I just finished eating this and I feel nauseous. But don’t worry the other Kashi entree’s are really good, especially the Tuscan Veggie Bake.
It strikes me both of you are not big fans of Thai food, don’t really know what lemon grass is and whole grains are not your forte. To each his own, not everyone likes ice-cream either!
I love Thai food but I hated this dinner. I felt like I sprayed lemon pledge in my mouth. The lemongrass flavour was way too over powering. Not spicy at all.
GREAT FLAVORS!!!!
on day two with my kashi meals for lunch. looking forward to tomorrows choice!
I absolutely love this entree. My only problem is my kids love them so much I have to make sure I have some left when I plan to take one for lunch.
I had to be forced to try the Kashi dinners. I used to have Go-Lean-Crunch every day for breakfast and Kashi pizza for lunch. Last year when Kashi offered a free entree coupon, I reluctantly gave it a try. The meals are EXCELLENT! O_O They quickly became the favorite for both hubby and me.
They are delicious and healthy with real substance. I add fruit and vegetables as my snacks daily and am amazed at how good I feel at 57. :-)
I like ALL of the Kashi frozen meals, as well as their crackers. While the frozen meals can sometimes be more expensive than the traditional ‘bland’ frozen meals you can get anywhere, these are better FOR you and the quality is SO much better. Target stores seem to have the best prices on them, and with a coupon, the price is comparable to a regular generic gross frozen meal that you can get anywhere.
I tried this one becasue the coconut sounded so yummy. The flavor was good, but the texture was slightly watery. I might have not cooked it enough to evaporate the extra water. That was the only bad thing.
I have tried a few of thier frozen dinners, and we really like them I have not tried the lemon one yet, but its on my list to try.
I loved this dish! Absolutely wonderful but don’t try it if you don’t like lemongrass. If you did not like this meal try different kinds. Kashi is wonderful and you can’t base all of Kashi on one product!
Tooooo much lemon for me. I don’t think I’ll be getting this one again.
This is my absolute fave item from Kashi. I have a deep affection for quinoa to start with but combined with chicken, ginger, peas and coconut makes this meal a great part of any day. It’s filling without being heavy. You’ve even found a way to get me to eat cooked carrots! Which generally is a no for me. If faced with the choice of buying only 1 item from Kashi this is the item I would pick.
Lemongrass Coconut Chicken entree contains nice clean flavors. The lemongrass was a bit strong and dominated the whole dish. I would like to have tasted more coconut flavor. Overall, I still enjoyed this meal and I especially liked the chicken combined with the red pilaf quinoa and veggies.
