I wish there was a “Needs improvement” or “Has potential” button. The lemon flavor was just way, way, way too strong for me. Plus, the sodium is too high. I’d deal with the sodium if that was the only issue though. Would love to see this reformulated with much less lemongrass. For those that like the incredibly strong flavor of lemon, you could always add fresh lemon zest/juice to a much milder version of this.

I absolutely LOVE this entrée. Maybe it is because I love the lemon taste and I love ginger. I though the combination of flavors was well balanced. I agree with someone else’s comment about the sodium content. I myself wish it was lower. I would recommend (and I already have ;)) this entrée to anyone. It tastes wonderful and the best thing is that I felt really good eating it.

The aroma of lemongrass, coconut and ginger amazing! I think the sodium level is spot on – if you go any less, it will have a bland taste.

One of the few Kashi entrees I didn’t like. It was just unremarkable for me. Everyone says it is because of too much lemon grass flavor … I just didn’t like the flavor & texture combos going on in here.

  9. User_48

Love the lemongrass, yes it is fragrant, but not overpowering. I believe the complaints on this are due to the combo of ginger that has a sharp flavor. I happen to LOVE flavor. Please consider revising the 680 mg of sodium. Some of your other entrees have potassium in addition to sodium and this generally reduces sodium. Ex: Sweet Sour Chicken only 380 mg on sodium but also includes potassium. Isn’t this a healthier option? Seems like it. I’m not a R.D. though. Please address sodium issue – there are so FEW truly healthy options available in the frozen section.

I agree with VaNatureGirl. The flavor is great in this entree and it keeps me full much longer than ‘typical’ frozen entrees do. Also, I love the nutty taste of the quinoa – I wish I could find more entrees that include quinoa!

The idea is great and it could be so good, but sadly it’s not. The lemongrass flavor is overpowering and almost chemical (the way I would imagine Lemon Pledge tastes.) I wish it was as good as it looks and sounds.

Lemon Pledge is an excellent way to describe this. Otherwise, it would be an excellent dish.

I really loved the taste of this dish. While I can agree that the lemongrass was pretty strong it didn’t overpower anything in my opinion. Will definitely pick up again.

I love this entree, though I have to admit sometimes the lemongrass flavor seems a little overpowering to me too. I would love if Kashi came up with another asian-inspired entree. I’m not a sweet and sour gal, so won’t try that one, but something with a low-sodium soy-based sauce would be great.

This is THE BEST frozen dinner I’ve ever eaten. I feel wrong calling it a frozen dinner because those words have a negative connotation, but now I won’t even eat any other brand. I LOVE lemongrass so the flavor wasn’t too strong for me (please don’t dilute it!). The chicken, whole grains, coconut and veggies were all so freakin’ yummy. Can’t praise it enough. I also think there needs to be a vote button for the in between! I didn’t “love” it, however, I would buy it again and see if I could alter the strong flavor of lemongrass in some other way. ; )

I tried this entree for the first time for dinner last night. I was surprised that it was only 300 calories, I’m looking for a diet food that is filling as well as tasty. Not every one has a sophisticated pallet when it comes to seasoned health foods, health foods tend to be very bland, I believe that the amount of seasonings were just right. We need the levels of seasonings to help trick our body’s so that we don’t feel deprived when dieting. I especially liked the combination of whole grains and veggies with the amount of meat, I was quite full and did not feel as though I was only eating a mere 300 cal. I’m so happy about this tasty find, hope you keep this healthy entree on the market and I know that in no time I will be at my goal of a healthy weight. I’m going back to the store to purchase more!!! Thanks so much

I loved this entree! It really took me by surprise when the first bite hit my palate. Finally, something DIFFERENT!!! I am so tired of the same old every day “chicken parm, alfredo, ravioli” refuse called “dinner”. Kashi has really nailed it for frozen entrees. This dish is spot on for how Kashi has broken through the insipid, uninspired, hum-drum dinner quandaries. I feel they are opening new doors all the while challenging other companies to step up to the plate and produce something that’s better for you and is actually appetizing by comparison.
    Hats off to Kashi..
