I was dissapointed to find autolyzed yeast as an ingredient (another form of MSG) as a flavor enhancer. I threw the whole box away after eating one cracker. The stuff gives me a migraine and rapid pulse. I trusted Kashi not to put anything artificial in their products, Left an unpleasant taste and scratchy throat.

I have had better Kashi products. I purchased this as an alternative to Triscuit Crackers Baked Whole Grain Wheat Reduced Fat. I compared the nutritional facts (prior to buying), and both are VERY similar as far as nutrition facts go. The Triscuits had more sodium (75 MG for Kashi, 160MG for the Triscuit), but the Kashi Heart Whole Grain had 1 Gram more fat and 1 Gram more fiber. I have had the Triscuits and enjoy them, but decided I would try the Kashi. At first taste, it tasted almost moldy. I’m not sure if it was the herbs, or the very dry tasteless cracker but I did not care for the taste. The cracker although looks similar to a Triscuit it has a bland flavor. There are herbs on the top, but I didn’t feel it tasted much like garlic. I served this with hummus but my famly agreed the crackers were better by themselves. My family did not care for these crackers that much. If you enjoy more of a bland flavor, then this would be the cracker for you. If you want a cracker with more flavor I would just go with the Triscuit Crackers Baked Whole Grain Wheat Reduced Fat, as it is very similar to the Kashi as far as servings and nutritional info. I would not recommend the Kashi cracker. I do love other Kashi products, but this one missed the mark.

I’m nibbling on the roasted garlic right now, comparing them with Special K crackers. Completely different, and the Kashi are better. You could still remove a little more salt. Less greasy than Triscuit, and definitely less salty. I have to watch my blood pressure so this makes a difference to me. For what it’s worth, the Special K have a sweet taste that I didn’t really want.

This is really good. I love these whole wheat crackers. They are so better than Triscuits because of the sodium. It has low sodium. Triscuits has about 160mg of sodium for about 7 crackers. While this have about 75mg of sodium for 7 crackers. It is great! I eat it with hummus, reduced fat sour cream, cheese, or some grapes. It is wonderful. And the fiber content is good as well.

All of the taste of a Triscuit without the guilt. The Garlic ones are savory, non greasy, and don’t taste dry like many healthy crackers can.
