I absolutely love the truly vanilla oatmeal! I have found that adding a little bit of peanut butter and a tiny amount of honey makes it d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s! I am addicted! :) Hope you can try and enjoy it!

I LOVE LOVE this cereal!! Keep an eye on it in the microwave, it can overflow. It is delicious, creamy and very filling. The fiber has been a great addition to my morning meal. Thanks Kashi for making healthy foods and snacks!!!!

I have had this box of oatmeal for a couple months now..trying to eat it. I don’t really care for it plain. I tried adding banana to it..that was a little better. Today I added a tablespoon of peanut butter and wow..i’m shocked at how tasty it was! Now I can finally eat up this oatmeal that I have been dreading so much.

Probably not supposed to use 2 at time but I do. Found I had the perfect bowl to use so no explosion this time…lololol (and watched carefully) Added cinnamon, sliced banana and about a cup of unfrozen mixed berries. Not on a diet – just eating healthly – have lost 30lbs since beginning of year. Sometimes have this oatmeal for supper. If want less creamy – add more water or milk. I use liquid powdered skim milk after it’s all cooked. Yummy!

I am unfortunately not a huge fan of the smell nor flavor of this hot cereal. I believe I struggle the most with the “creamy” aspect of it.

This oatmeal is yummy! I like to add a spoonful of peanut butter and some cinnamon for extra protein and flavor.

This is the perfect breakfast. I add 1 cup of blueberries and 1/2 plain greek yogurt to boost the protein. I don’t know what I’ll add once blueberries are no longer in season :(

This is great oatmeal. I need the extra protein so I make it with 2/3 cup of milk instead of water. Add a little splenda and cinnamon and it is great and it sticks with you all morning.

I thought this sounded delicious, but when I made it (according to directions) it totally exploded and I had to use up another packet just to have enough for breakfast. Delish taste but a mess!

I like this pretty well, especially mixing raisins or chopped walnuts in along with Splenda. You do have to watch out for an explosion in your microwave!

I was looking for the best, healthiest oatmeal when I saw the Kashi truly vanilla product. It turned out to be perfect! It tastes like oatmeal (to me, at least!), and the flaxseeds add a nice texture component to the mix. Three things I like best:
    1. All natural ingredients
    2. The perfect amount of sweetness
    3. Nutritional balance, ie, high fiber, high protein, low sugar.
I’ve tried a few Kashi products, and I’ve always been pleasently surprised at how good tasting they are, as there’s a general perception about these kinds of products as being a taste compromise. So far, not the case here!

I love this hot cereal too. I usu. buy the Truly Vanilla and lately have been adding banana to it, but I can eat it without just the same.
The microwave?: Yes, very tricky. I had the overflow experience once. Now I usually can go a full minute without taking it out. I then stir it and set the mike for another 30 seconds but at this time I watch it and stop it when I see it start to rise, I stir it and do it again until the 30 seconds are up. It’s work but it’s worth it. Oh – and I make sure I start with room temperature water. If your water is already hot, of course it will reach the overflow point sooner and your cereal won’t have a chance to truly cook.

i bought the honey cluster one and was wondering is this like oatmeal? is it made the same way? can i use milk instead of water for cooking?

I love oatmeal, Kashi and vanilla flavored foods so I expected this to be a winner for me. I’m just not crazy about this one in particular. I thought the flavor was very bland and only after the addition of cinnamon, some banana and a little brown sugar did this taste okay. I thought it had an almost burnt flavor also (and no, I didn’t overcook it) I didnt really like the texture either (it looks like pure powder right out of the packet) I always make my oatmeal with water so that might be the problem. I’ll try it again with vanilla almond milk and see if that helps any, but I think I’m just going to stick with the other oatmeal flavors.

I mixed this with a tablespoon of peanut butter. Mm-mm.

OverflowingOatmeal: What I did was heat it up halfway through the time, let it sit, stirred it, and then finished heating it.
