It’s definitely yummy and somethin you can’t feel guilty eating. I also bought a box of the heart 2 heart brown sugar maple or whatever it is. I can’t wait to try all the Kashi Products. So tasty, and so good for you :)Keep up the great work!

I was not fond of the texture of this oatmeal and I found it to be very bland. I like the Honey Cinnamon better.

Making this with vanilla soy milk really bumps up the flavor – yum!

i did not like this one a whole lot i had to put honey in it to make it taste smoother don’t get me wrong i love the flavor but the texture tasted it like it had some sort of powder in it.

I love the taste, and use it as a back up for when i run out of soy milk for cereal.

You have to understand, I hated cereal growing up. I love this stuff. its so thick that it sticks with you!

I also like how its easier to mix extra water in it if it sits out longer than you intended, other brands dont do that so well.

I add a packet of Splenda and some cinnamon to bump up the flavor a bit. This is a really filling cereal that carries me over to lunch time.

Ok, so apparently the college education didn’t prepare me for Kashi. How the heck do you cook this stuff without it overflowing all over the microwave??? You can’t walk away from the microwave cause it will destroy it! I was away 8 seconds and it was boiling over…after 8 seconds!!!!

This one looked pretty appealing when I bought it, and it sounded tasty as well…I love vanilla & Kashi so I expected it to be a winner. Unfortunately, it wasn’t as good as I’d hoped for. It just tasted very bland & processed, and only after adding some vanilla soy milk, brown sugar, cinnamon, and some fruit did it taste OK…yet it still felt like something was missing. I’m usually not an instant-oatmeal person anyway; I prefer to start out with plain rolled oats or oat bran & prepare it accordingly because I think it tastes better that way. So I think I’ll just stick to that for now. But since I still have a whole box left of these, I’m sure I’ll eat them on occasion if I run out of oatmeal or other stuff.

I mixed this with a tablespoon of peanut butter. Mm-mm.

OverflowingOatmeal: What I did was heat it up halfway through the time, let it sit, stirred it, and then finished heating it.

I love oatmeal, Kashi and vanilla flavored foods so I expected this to be a winner for me. I’m just not crazy about this one in particular. I thought the flavor was very bland and only after the addition of cinnamon, some banana and a little brown sugar did this taste okay. I thought it had an almost burnt flavor also (and no, I didn’t overcook it) I didnt really like the texture either (it looks like pure powder right out of the packet) I always make my oatmeal with water so that might be the problem. I’ll try it again with vanilla almond milk and see if that helps any, but I think I’m just going to stick with the other oatmeal flavors.

i bought the honey cluster one and was wondering is this like oatmeal? is it made the same way? can i use milk instead of water for cooking?

I love this hot cereal too. I usu. buy the Truly Vanilla and lately have been adding banana to it, but I can eat it without just the same.
The microwave?: Yes, very tricky. I had the overflow experience once. Now I usually can go a full minute without taking it out. I then stir it and set the mike for another 30 seconds but at this time I watch it and stop it when I see it start to rise, I stir it and do it again until the 30 seconds are up. It’s work but it’s worth it. Oh – and I make sure I start with room temperature water. If your water is already hot, of course it will reach the overflow point sooner and your cereal won’t have a chance to truly cook.

I was looking for the best, healthiest oatmeal when I saw the Kashi truly vanilla product. It turned out to be perfect! It tastes like oatmeal (to me, at least!), and the flaxseeds add a nice texture component to the mix. Three things I like best:
1. All natural ingredients
2. The perfect amount of sweetness
3. Nutritional balance, ie, high fiber, high protein, low sugar.
I’ve tried a few Kashi products, and I’ve always been pleasently surprised at how good tasting they are, as there’s a general perception about these kinds of products as being a taste compromise. So far, not the case here!

I like this pretty well, especially mixing raisins or chopped walnuts in along with Splenda. You do have to watch out for an explosion in your microwave!

I thought this sounded delicious, but when I made it (according to directions) it totally exploded and I had to use up another packet just to have enough for breakfast. Delish taste but a mess!
