Oh gosh… this is my staple to just about every single meal/snack! Try it microwaved with eggwhites, applesauce, and pumpkin purree. Toss in a tad of cinnamon and splenda, and it’s heaven :)

Not to mention, the nutrition is perfect!

Its sooo good to use as a trailmix with dried fruit and stuff. After exercising a lot, it really gives you some energy!

Haha.. not for the faint-coloned.

I love this cereal with a few sweetened cranberries, splenda, and cinnamon. It’s sort of the better version of raisin bran. It’s also great as just a snack to munch on! Haha if I actually carried cereal in my pockets, this would be the perfect movie snack.

It’s also great as sort of a “filler” for other cereals, just to give it a huge fiber boost.

I eat this cereal, on average, five days a week! Try it like this:
1 cup GOLEAN cereal
1 medium apple, chopped (Fuji is my fav!)
2 T chopped walnuts
1 cup skim milk
The apple adds sweetness and extra fiber to keep you full. Eat and enjoy!

Hands-down the best cereal on the market! I actually crave a bowl of this and skim milk every morning. Even more delicious with fresh fruit like cut up strawberries. Never fails to fill me up until lunch.

Excellent nutritional/ingredients profile. However, it’s a little too crunchy for me. It doesn’t soften up any in the milk like most cereals; I’d prefer that it did.

I appreciate all natural foods, but when I see soy protein and natural flavors that means MSG. Not good.

Definately great nutritional value. I’m heading out to the store right now- I’m going to pick up a box to try it!

User_75

So I bought my first box last night and tried it this morning. And I think I’m already addicted after the one bowl! It was so delicious – and not overly sweet. I like it plain. Yumm!

This is the best cereal in the world! As a teen, a cup and half of this with skim milk and fruit is the perfect combo of protein and fiber!

Ive tried their other cereals, but I always come back to this one. I use to weigh over 200 lbs, but simply started eating this cereal with soy milk and it changed my life! with just this and daily activities I lost 30 pounds. Changing my diet and including this cereal I lost many more.

My family has high BP and diabetes. my blood test say I will never get Diabetes now, and my BP has been as low as 100/60. I had to increase my salt intake just to raise my BP.

This cereal increases my metabolism so much that my body needs so much more food, and it burns so much food in a day. so by eatign more, I have gotten an easily maitainable weight!

Kashi, you saved my life! My mom has changed to this morning regimine and seen awesome results as well.

love this cereal. Perfect combo of protein, fiber, nutrients, calories, and tastiness!

User_75

As much as I love the cereal, the nutritional information CANNOT be correct.

30g carbs x 4 = 120 calories
13g protein x 4 = 52 calories
1g fat x 9 = 9 calories

That equals 181 calories when the label says 140. What gives Kashi?

User_75
Posted February 20, 2009 at 02:31 PM

Fiber doesn’t break down in your body, so it’s not included in the calorie totals on food labels. So that’s 40 calories less than you expect if you’re multiplying the toal carbohydrates by 4. So now it’s just 1 calorie off, and that can be explained by rounding.

My mom eats this cereal occasionally. I tried it once, and while it is very filling, balanced, & nutritious it tasted very bland to me. Although I don’t prefer cereals that are too high in sugar, this one could use a little extra kick of flavor. If you try it, I would recommend adding some fruit or a natural sweetener, that might help.

This is one of my fave cereals! I mix some into trail mix or soy yogurt, or I’ll take a half cup with me to eat at work. It keeps me going when I hit that 3 p.m. wall.

Even though I’ve been hooked on Kashi products for months, last night was the first time I’d tried GoLean. It has exactly the kind of flavor and sweetness level I love in a cereal (I’ve always been a fan of things like Kix). One thing I do have to agree with is the comment that said it’s “not for the faint-coloned”... :-D Don’t do what I did and have two bowls in a row at midnight after a long day without dinner, or you might have a really interesting morning! I couldn’t help but have that second bowl, though – it was so good. And, most people’s insides need a good scrubbing anyway! This will continue to be a pantry staple in my house, it has it all.

User_75
Posted February 28, 2009 at 10:39 PM

for starters: i have yet to have a stomach issue with this cereal.

it has a little sweetness already, but when summer comes around and i can get fresh strawberries without paying an arm and a leg, i’m sure i’ll enjoy it even more.

and i’ll take the advice on adding apples. don’t see how that could go wrong.

This is too my favorite cereal! Tastes great with fruit or without with lots of cold skim milk. This is the best way to start my day – everyday!!!

Not sure if anyone has seen that Total (cereal) commerial, comparing their cereal to Kashi go lean??? It makes me so mad! Kashi is far better than Total because it has more fiber and protein and keeps you full longer! and of course makes your taste buds happier!!!

Enjoy!
