I really love this bar!! Tastes great and I agree, it was the perfect size for a quick breakfast!!
Wondering though:
Why cant I buy this product in the original size or in a box of 6 or 10???? Also, it must be popular because it is the only Kashi bar that is ever sold out. Please bring back the original size and then package it in convenient boxed sizes! Please!!

It was different and very delicious. It was tasty and I can’t wait to get more of them. It makes a good snack.

The new bars are a sad replacement for the originals. The new bars are hard to find. The crunchy version and the Roll version are not for me at all. The roll version physically makes my jaw hurt because they are so hard. Please bring back the originals.

I would love to try these they look like they would be good. They have two of my favorite foods chocolate and peanut butter.

I used to love the original GOLEAN Chewy PB & Chocolate bar and was so sad when Kashi discontinued them. I was going to try the new “snack” sized bar since I figured it would still taste the same, though it would be smaller. However, after reading reviews from those who also loved the original bar, I’m dissappointed to hear that Kashi has also changed the flavor of this new bar. I won’t be trying them. Guess I’m off to find another protien good bar from another company. Sad because I’ve been a Kashi fan for years now.

I really miss the old original bar with more protein (esp. fond of choco-pb). It helped me maintain my weight as a luch alternative for years. The new bar (when I can find it….as it has seeemed to disappear) is not as satisfying. I would be willing to purchase in bulk by mail. Where is your on-line store?

• I LOVE THESE BARS ****** it’s my Dessert!! My Recess Peanut Butter Cup – my chocolate peanut butter fix for the day!! So filling and I love the added fiber and protein!!! :) Thanks AGain Kashi!!!!! Oh and I can’t even imagine what the old bars taste like … these are AMAZING!!!!! Keep up the good work!!! Oh but could you use Stevia instead of sugar please? :) That would lower my sugar intake for the day.

I love the Kashi Go Lean Peanut Butter & Chocolate Protein and Fiber Bar. I am a personal trainer and one of my clients told me about them. Because of the high protein, fiber, and total calories of 200 it was the perfect in between meal snack. I told everyone about them as well as the Chocolate Malted Crisp. I always got them from Walmart but they have been out for 2 weeks. I have been told that they won’t be carrying them any longer. I have tried to find them on-line but to no avail. Now at this site I see that the bar is being revamped and the new one will be like that old one. ( I never had that one but I see that it is larger and highe in calories hmmmm. Not sure about that. I love the one I got used to. Hopefully I will like the new one coming out. I sure don’t like not being able to purchase one anywhere.
I even got my step-dad to eat them which was great. It gave him a good source of protein and fiber. AS a 78yr. old in poor health that was a great product for him

These bars just aren’t as good as the original plus I hate that they are so small. The original’s made a good meal replacement. My skinny picky eater in the house would have one of the original bars for lunch everyday. Now he is only eating one of these wimpy bars instead. Kashi when it’s not broken don’t fix it!

Kashi: Please engage in a dialogue with your consumers regarding this bar (These message boards are not meant to be a one-way conversation). What is going on with the changes in the product form factor as well as the distribution? I live in the New York City area and cannot find these bars ANYWHWERE!!!(old or new) I knew I was not alone and it has gotten so bad that I went into a deli on Friday and the 5 bars that were left were actually STASHED/HIDDEN by a patron! It seems there is a tremendous lost-revenue opportunity here and we would like some information. Is your manufacturing process or supply chain challenged??? Please 1) Consider bringing back the original bar (at a higher price I’m sure) and 2) Please let us know what the distribution challenges are — maybe we can help! I’m having the same issue with the nutritional facts. New to Kashi looking for something healthy but after reading these reviews on the bars I will look for something different.

Kashi, have you taken the time to read through the comments on the “snack sized bars” yet? You are affecting people’s committments to healthier lifestyle choices. If your company really stands by its true principles you should listen to the loyal customers that made the old product a part of their healthy lifestyles. If you are not going to change the bars back to their original size, I think you should at least be truthful to us about why the size was reduced.

I agree with so many people. Why mess with a good thing? I bought it by the case also for years!!. This bar is a poor imitation (especially same price for 2/3 of a bar)

My husband and I are also very disappointed that we can no longer buy the original chocolate peanut butter meal replacement bars. We bought then by the box since our children also enjoyed them. They were a great meal replacement and helped while watching our calories. The replacement bars do not have any flavor compared to the original and certainly don’t serve as a meal replacement. There is no comparison. I hope you will bring the bars back!!!

My family and I are EXTREMELY disappointed the original chewy bars (larger size)are discontinued! My husband takes one to work every day as a replacement for breakfast. We had used the bars as a replacement for meals when we hiked part of the Appalachian Trail. The size was perfect and the amount of calories was what we needed. We were planning on taking these bars again in 2012 when we hike the whole Appalachian Trail (all 2,179 miles)! The smaller snack size just isn’t gonna cut it! Why mess with and change a good thing?!

I know everyone has been giving these bars a bad rep, but I just tried this flavor the other day and I thought it was very good. I actually like the fact that they are a bit smaller because I don’t want a giant 300 calorie bar, these are perfect. Although I have not yet tried the Oatmeal Raisin because I cant find it anywhere.

Your “Nutrition Facts” link does not work (on any of the GoLean Bars that replaced the Chewy Bars. Please fix the links.

Please restore the Chocolate Almond Toffee Chewy Bar, or, if you have to downsize it, bring it out as a GoLean Bar without changing the formulation.

Im sorry Kashi, but you have lowered your usually high-set bar with this one. The texture and taste is bland, and overall the nutrition you get out of this is not worth the calories. I feel better off eating a protein bar or something else with similar stats but more character.

WTF?? Why would you change a perfectly great product? PLEASE bring the old bars back! I will not eat these new ones, they are indeed different. I used to buy the old bars by the box! I became a member here just to comment on this product change. Bad bad move. For shame Kashi!

I am SO VERY DISAPPOINTED you took away you full size bars. I have searched far and wide to find them..for I DO NOT LIKE THESE SMALL bars at all. I am so disappointed. The big bars were part of my daily regime..as advised by my Doctor..for I need to keep weight on..and I just don’t like these small bars at all. SAD..SAD…SAD…So unfair..

These new bars are not as good as the other size and they are too small. Why couldn’t you just sell these along with the bigger meal replacement bars? I will not buy these and will probably have to go with Clif bars or Power Bars instead. It’s too bad because the meal replacement bars were great. Oh well…

i really don’t like the new bars. i really loved the bigger size. the smaller size taste more chocolately.. i have been eating these bars for years for breakfast. i am very disappointed they have changed and tht i cant find them anymore in my walmart stores here at home where i have been buying them..

I have been a big fan of the Peanut Butter & Choco. bars for years. Recently they disappeared from all local stores. When they reappeared, they were considerably smaller and had a definite change in taste. None of the other flavors in this line were changed-what’s the explanation? I’m disappointed in these new bars.
