Our chewy granola bars are truly lovable. They bring our unique blend of Seven Whole Grains and Sesame together with whole, roasted nuts, succulent, sun-dried fruit, and a touch of wildflower honey. And with 4g of Fiber and 5-7g of Protein, they are as nourishing as they are tasty.
Naturally, you won't find any partially hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, or artificial anything but what you will find in our chewy granola barsis just what you'd expect from Kashi-minimally processed, pure ingredients, and natural goodness you can see as well as taste.
With whole, roasted almonds, succulent, sun-dried fruit, toasted sunflower seeds and a touch of wildflower honey, our Trail Mix granola bars have 4g of Fiber* and 6g of Protein.
*5g total fat per serving

After reading this article from Environmental Health Perspectives I carefully examined the label of my daily Kashi bar – very concerning based on what the article says “the bars tested listed at least one of these four rice products—organic brown rice syrup, rice flour, rice grain or rice flakes – among the top five ingredients. The seven other bars were among the lowest in total arsenic, ranging from 8 to 27 ppb, while those containing syrup or other forms of rice ranged from 23 to 128 ppb.”

I read about this article on yahoo and very concerned about it. can Kashi clear it out for the consumers?

I was also shocked to see “cottonseed oil” listed as an ingredient from a company I had loved to get natural foods from. Since cotton is not a food, the USDA allows more pesticides to be used on the crops. This has become a cheap source of oil for food companies, though it is horrible for the body! I will hesitate to ever eat another Kashi product.

I know for a fact…that I buy more Kashi TLC chewy trail mix granola bars than anyone on this planet. We’ve tried them all, this is basically our favorite & NEVER get tired of the flavor. I can’t even imagine someone not liking these bars. I never saw them at Costco…. I will check that out. Anything to save some money in this day & age. I noticed yesterday many grocery stores are charging more for them. I am going to try really hard to see if I can come up with a recipe for the trail mix bar & make my own, if possible. Couldn’t hurt to try. Being a Diabetic over 41 years, these don’t raise my blood sugar that much. All I can say is…“KASHI”…more coupons would be a wonderful thing for all of us that buy your granola bars.

susancrowe01 loved this. over 1 year agoI love this one too. There are 3 or 4 of Kashi’s bars that we buy and I believe this one is my favorite. I was just reading the other reviews and was surprised that some didnt like them. I think you have to really be into eating healthy to eat some of these healthy foods. Unless its packed with sugar and oils then some dont like them.

I really did enjoy the Trail bar. Not too sweet, lots of fruit and nuts, tastes fresh, very enjoyable. I find most snack bars that are on the market have an artifical taste to them. I also like the way your website is put together. Lots of good information out there, nice to see that your sharing it with everyone.

I really like these granola bars, but unfortunately, they give me horrible gas. I’ve researched chicory root and this seems to be the culprit. Is there another source of fiber that can be used in it’s place? I will have to give these up until the chicory root is gone since I can’t endure the side effects. :(

I bought a large box at Costco, On Wheight Watchers and wanted a bar, within the point range, that I could eat for breakfast. I have one with a cup of coffee every morning. They make me fill full and satisfied. In fact I love them. I started developing a huge gas problem that at night is most unbearable. I don’t know what is the cause for sure, but I’m not eating anything else that is new to my diet. I will have to stop eating them if they are the culprit. How sorry I am.

so much better for you than other granola bars (ex. quaker)!… and they actually satisfy you, rather than just making you crave more things!

Compared to other trail mix bars this has the least amount of sugar. So stop complaining!
-
pollotarian_luv over 2 years ago
These only have 6 grams of sugar, which isn’t a lot. I’ve seen other bars, like Quaker True Delights bars, that have at least 2 more grams of sugar, which doesn’t sound like much, but it comes from corn syrup, which isn’t good for you. Plus some of those bars have partially hydrogenated oils and none have as much protein as Kashi bars. :/

This is going to sound really odd, but the trail mix bar tasted like lipstick. You know the kind that you used when you were younger and you could taste it?? For instance the play lipsticks that are shaped like fruits and such. That is the only way I know how to describe it. Not good, unless you like that kind of thing, which you probably don’t.

The comments about the saltiness really concern me. I follow a low sodium diet to help control my blood pressure. I just bought a 3-pack of granola bars that includes the Trail Mix, which has been my favorite. But, if it’s salty like the other people who have posted here suggest, I will have to throw it out and stop buying the product. If Kashi wants to produce a healthy product, the company has to avoid the “too much salt” mentality of many processors in the food industry. More and more, I buy fresh food and cook it myself because of this major problem.

I am very health conscious, yet also very particular about the taste of my food. I eat healthy foods for both the benefits AND the flavor. I am addicted to the Trail Mix granola bars. My pantry is NEVER without them, and I thought I was going to lose my minds when they were recalled. My kids love them too.

Received my sample of Kashi’s TLC Chewy Trail Mix Granola Bar, and it was delicious (don’t want to forget to mention that it also had great nutritional stats). I purchase Kashi products on a regular basis, and am always pleased with their quality and taste.

OMG!!!! I got my sample in the mail today and I took it to work for a snack. This was by far the most amazing tasting granola bar that I’ve ever eaten. The next time I go out shopping I’m buying a box or two for myself. I think I’ve found my new not-guilty pleasure…. At least food-wise… ;-P

These are my favorite Kashi bars. I always have a box in the pantry, and I keep one in my backpack at all times, so that if I get hungry, I have a yummy and healthy snack.
The Kashi trail mix bar is what got me hooked on Kashi products. :)Log in or join the community to reply to this comment. -

I love the Trail Mix bar… I put them in my purse for a snack on days I forget to eat breakfast. My only complaint…raisins. I can’t stand them. I really wish they made a version of this bar that was raisin-free.

Trail mix bars rock! They taste like those fruit and nut bar things from Nature Valley, only so much better, and natural, and better for you!
