I absolutely love these bars! They have great flavor and aren’t too sweet, but aren’t bland or boring either. I eat one just about every morning because they are a perfect breakfast choice to get me going.
———————————————I only have two complaints about these bars (and other Kashi bars). First, as people have mentioned, occasionally I will purchase a box that isn’t as fresh as I’d like – because they aren’t filled with preservatives, I can overlook this. What is hard for me to overlook is the fact that I have found Kashi products to be VERY inconsistent. For example: I just ate one of these bars, only to find that the bar disappointingly contained a half of an almond – that’s it! Considering the almonds are the best part, this was a let down. I’ve had similar consistency problems with other bars as well (I have eaten Dark Chocolate Coconut bars that have had no nuts on top)… Fix this please!

I just graduated from high school and one of the greatest disappointments is that I no longer have immediate access to these bars. They used to sell them in the cafeteria and more often than not, I would get one of these and a bagel instead of a full lunch. They’re very tasty and I’ll definitely buy more of them.

I just bought 2 boxes of them and they were hard and anything but chewy. I have had them before but very disappointed. My daughter thought she was going to break her teeth trying to take a bite.

Sue, because they’re made from all natural ingredients with no preservatives, the shelf life may be a lot shorter than the expiration date. I’ve had these several times and have never experienced them being stale or hard. I don’t buy them in bulk nor do I allow them to sit long.

Kashi Customer Service Team over 2 years agoHi Fvickery. Thanks for letting us know about this. Our foods are made without any artificial preservatives, so changes in the taste and texture might be noticed over time. If you have a chance, give us a call at 877-7GRAINS. We would like to share more details with our quality team and replace that stale bar. Thanks again.

Once in a while it happens…especially if you buy in bulk. I don’t care, though…the TLC bars are still better than a lot of other ‘bars’ out there.

I have to say that I really love Kashi products. I am one of the people who bought and loved your VIVE ceral and sad to see that I didn’t buy enough!!! I am really adding this comment to tell you that your TLC Chewy Granola bars are another food prayer answered. I need and live for my snacks. I workout at least 5 mornings a week before work. Do you know how hard it is to find a post-workout snack that is not mostly sugar and fat and little or no protein? Not hard any more — these bars are PERFECT! 5g of MUFA or PUFA Fat, 6g Sugar, and 6 – g Fat. They are DELICIOUS and SATISFYING! BIG THANKS!!!

I’m outside the U.S. right now, but I found this at a grocery store in the Philippines. And I’ve loved Kashi for so long when I was in San Diego. So I was super stoked when I found it. I finished the bars quickly and went to my local health food store to see if they can get it. I’m crossing my fingers that they will. They haven’t disappointed me yet.

your comment gives me a great idea! Could Kashi make these with little bits of dried peaches added? That would be better than the best imaginable!

That does sound yummy… They just better not REPLACE these with those – I hate when companies do that!

I have recently given these bars a chance, and I have to say I LOVE THEM!! I was skeptical on whether they would be dry or not, but no, they are grreat! I love that you can actually taste the honey. The combination of the honey and the almonds…well…it’s good :)

I couldn’t help notice the high sodium level in your honey almond flax. It’s stated
less than 2400 MG. That’s allot of sodium! It’s about your total amount you can consumefor the day. I thought this bar was going to be healthy. It is up to the point you read the sodium amount. Very disappointed!

Each bar only has 105mg of sodium. I think you were reading the part where they show how they calculated the percent of daily values on the bottom half of the nutrition info.

This is my favorite flavor from the chewy granola bars. I love the fact that it contains omega 3’s, fiber, and protein.

Happy to report from FL -These are back in stock at Publix. Yay! They are the best! Perfect snack for on-the-go people. Hubby loves them too. Tried all the other brands during the 2 month absence, we found all others to be WAY too sweet! Thanks Kashi you made my day :)

Is there a mailing list to get on to find out when these will be available again? TLC chewy bars are staples for me. I can carry these around and not worry about temperature; they are the only granola bars out there that are not coated with some kind of chip or drizzle or other melting coating. The TLC crunchy bars are not as good because they inevitably get crumbs everywhere.

Yes, I too am very sad and MISSING the Honey Almond Flax bars. I was eating one every day. I do not like the crunchy versions nor bars with chocolate. PLEASE bring them back – zip 48169. Thank you for healthy products.
