Darzana
Darzana is a think-tank event focused on furthering the natural lifestyle cause. Since 2008, natural food leaders—professors, nutritionists, scientists, and others who share our passion for positive eating—have joined Kashi with the goal of identifying the biggest challenges facing the natural community. At Darzana, we come up with powerful recommendations for people who want to effect positive change in support of natural food and health.
Operation Frontline
At Kashi, we believe that nutrition education is a powerful way to create positive, healthy change in people's lives. That's why we're teaming up with Share Our Strength's Operation Frontline®, a groundbreaking program that helps families help themselves by teaching them how to prepare healthy low cost meals and get the most nutrition out of a limited budget.
Since 1993, through the help of volunteer professional chefs and nutritionists around the country, Operation Frontline has provided effective nutrition education in a hands-on format to over 32,000 low-income families facing hunger and poor nutrition.
Mollie Katzen
With more than six million books in print, Mollie is one of the best-selling cookbook authors of all time. Best known for her groundbreaking classics Moosewood Cookbook and
The Enchanted Broccoli Forest, Mollie was named by Health magazine as one of "The Five Women Who Changed the Way We Eat," and was inducted into the prestigious James Beard Cookbook Hall of Fame in 2007. She is a charter member of the Harvard School of Public Health Nutrition Roundtable and an inaugural honoree of the Natural Health Hall of Fame. Her most recent project is Get Cooking, a series of cookbooks and Web videos for beginners.
