When was the last time you tried something new — and loved it? Most of us have experienced the apprehension, exhaustion, and, yes, exhilaration, of putting skis to snow or boots to mountain for the first time. This month, Brittany shares her experience snowshoeing and her enthusiasm for adventure.

Brittany Reilly Recently, you went snowshoeing for the first time. What was that like?
It was awesome – different from anything I’d done before! We wanted to hike at a high elevation because in a few weeks my husband and I are climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania...

Did the experience change your view of "adventure"?
Yes! Snowshoeing definitely made me want to try more new things. It gave me a sense of accomplishment and it was a lot of fun. Sure, we were exhausted, but afterward we treated ourselves to a huge dinner. And it was a great workout...
