Pass on your printer cartridge

Where do used printer ink cartridges go to die? Like a lot of other household appliances, ink cartridges are bad for the environment and contribute massively to landfill, yet we continue to discard them at a rapid pace (8 per second in the US alone!). Today, challenge yourself to manage your computer printer’s ink and toner components more responsibly. Here are some tips:

• Print only when necessary; try to minimize errors and reprinting.

• Buy refurbished cartridges whenever possible.

• Return used cartridges to manufacturers for refurbishing and/or proper disposal.

    Our school has a fund raising with them.It works great, they put a large rubbermaid container with a hole in the top by the front door and parents can drop them off. I also save all our cartridges from work and add those.

    Refilling cartridges and using the backs of OOPS printing is something I do everyday in my work! And its saved money too!

    I have sent my old catridge to dell recycle center in the return pouch given by dell

    Refilling cartridges are not only responsible (reusing existing cartridges) but extremely economical

    Staples will accept ink cartridges and give back a $3 coupon for each. I think they now accept all kinds.

    You can also refill and reuse your current cartridges at many locations in the US~
