Want to feel passionate about produce again? Try shopping in an ethnic market. Asian, Latin American, and Indian markets often stock fruits and vegetables that standard markets don’t. Today, challenge yourself to pick up some bok choy, daikon, bitter melon, tatsoi, plantain, prickly pear, mamey sapota, tamarind, chayote, or other exotic fare and enjoy!

I bought Thai sweet rice (aka sticky rice) and coconut milk to make Thai sticky rice for dessert, but then I used it again 2 days later with my panang curry… YUM!

Tonight for dinner I recreated Kashi’s Mayan Harvest Bake-and it was delicious! Tonight was the first time I had ever cooked with plantains, and I will continue to use them and other exotic ingredients in my cooking. Thanks for inspiring me, Kashi!

Made baby bok choy and brown rice with my chicken yesterday. I love cooking with new ingredients, outside the box.
