When roses go bananas

Raising roses? Save on fertilizer costs by reusing something you have around the house anyway: banana peels. Roses benefit from bananas’ potassium, which helps them thrive and stave off disease. Today, challenge yourself by chopping up the peels and adding them to your compost, or just tucking a whole peel under an inch of soil at the base of the rose bush.

WOW I had no idea that a banana peel could help my roses. after the severe winter we had here in Florida, my new spring roses can use all the help they can get. Thanks
