Rescue a piece of rubbish
From broken bookshelves and battery-less toys to ripped curtains and rundown rugs, most of our garages and closets are stuffed with damaged discards that can, with a little bit of help, be given a new lease on life! Today, challenge yourself to find something in your home that can be rehabilitated and either fix it or turn it into something new. (Thought starters: Tired shower curtains can be cropped and turned into bathroom window treatments. Stained or blemished furniture can be painted or refinished.)

I loved thes chips. The salt flavor went great with hummus. They are tasty enough to eat alone.
My new healthy potato chip! -
I love these chips. I find most pita chips are thick and crunchy like a Milk Bone, now don’t get me wrong, Milk Bones are great for dogs. These Kashi pita chips are the perfect thickness and the flavor is great with any flavored hummis. Good job guys!

Remember one man’s trash is another man’s treasure? I have started using listia.com to get rid of extra things, duplicates, things I don’t need or use anymore, clothes that don’t fit, etc. and you can do it without spending any money, just a little time (or a lot of time if you choose!) I have put together 5 or 6 back to school packages for other people to bid on (with credits, not money,) and I have won several new items that were or will be birthday or Christmas gifts for family and friends. Two things are accomplished – my house is getting decluttered and I am saving money on things I need and gifts I would be buying anyway!

I work at a bank and I also like to do crafts. So the boxes that our coin and money straps come in are the perfect small sizes to store things like beads and thread or foamies or paint in. And you can use newspaper, reuse wrapping paper or even scraps of material to decorate them to match any decor.
