Share the wealth

Challenge Yourself for: 24 Hours

Spreading the joy of cooking is de rigueur when it comes to holiday eating. This season, instead of packing away more ham, brisket, turkey, potatoes, and other filling fare than you can possibly eat, be ready with reusable or environmentally sound leftover containers to send home with your guests. Today, challenge yourself to get ready for holiday parties by stocking up on such cartons for sharing the culinary joy. Remember: Refrigerated leftovers should keep 3-4 days.

This year I baked and baked as usual for the holidays, and packed up some gift containers I bought a few years back. I gave them to family with all the sweets and yummies, only keeping 1 or 2 of each for hubby and I. Trying so hard to reach my weight goal for the cruise in a month!!

I water down juices by at least half. This cuts the sugar, but keeps the flavor. Soon, you’ll find that you can’t go back.

My husband and I are doing Weight Watchers, it is a challange but we have seen great results, and with an upcoming cruise I want to look good. Instead of buying potato chips, cut up pita shells, and spray with ff butter spray and sprinkle with your favorite spice, cinn. for me, garlic salt for him. It’s a crunch snack, and satisfies the crunch! Try to switch to tea, or water instead of soda, and the pounds will melt away.
