My family loves fresh fruit. I would like to try quinoa, I hadn’t heard of it, so I think it would be fun to try. I love to try new foods, so today when I go shopping, I am going to stop by our natural food store and pick up a new food to try.

My family of six eats fresh fruit every day. We typically pick up 20 to 30 lbs of fruit a week to satisfy the desire.

I always eat fresh fruit everyday and get the majority of it from local farmer’s markets or buy organic varieties from the store. I’ll have to try quinoa…have always heard it tossed around in healthy recipes or vegan restaurants, but haven’t tried it yet…

I love dates, sweet potato fries, and fruit! Clementines make a great to-go snack. I’ll have to try more wild game and quinoa recipes.

I make my version of Tibetan quinoa for breakfast: 1/2 cup hot quinoa, some vanilla soy milk, a little smart balance spread, and some stevia. It’s good for me , easy to fix, and tastes wonderful!

This Thanksgiving I served figs….everyone was interested….amazing how we forget what’s old.

Also, I gave anchovies a try. The name alone usually scares people off, but they’ve been a staple in the Euro diet for over 4,000 years! I made a provincial French dish of whole grain pasta, olives, tomatoes, spinach, and a few anchovies. To my surprise, it was great!

my family really enjoys quinoa! I cook it in organic chicken broth, along with fresh peas & carrots. Delish! Fresh fruit is a staple in our home and my daughter was raised on sweet tators [(yams for your northerners! :) ]

I have always thought that natural and not processed was better. Therefore I grow all of my own vegetables and some of my fruits. I do CAN and FREEZE my produce without chemical preservatives. I DO NOT use chemical pesticides in my garden. There are varieties of flowers and grasses that can be used to keep certain pests away and that is what I use. I cook fresh natural ALL pure foods. I do not work outside of our home so I know I have the time necessary to do all of this. This is my JOB, my work, my career that I LOVE. I do wish that more MOMS would decide that staying home to do all of these things for her family is so much more important than a carer outside of the home. I can honestly tell you that as a one income family we survive quite well and my not working actually saves money for us, because I am here to take care of things. My husband does not earn a tremendous salary, but because We grow our own produce, and I make everything from scratch..we HONESTLY SAVE BIG TIME MONEY. My children have had all of the things that other kids have, and that they felt they needed to ‘fit in’, so no one has done without. I think families with two parents would be amazed at the difference it would make if moms just stayed home and enjoyed their CAREER as a Homemaker. Children would be safer, better behaved and better educated. I think this is part of being NATURAL. You will be surprised at how much money is saved by having a mom stay home to take care of the house and the children as her full time career. It is amazing and very enjoyable and satisfying.

Great Job. What kind of flowers and grasses? I co think it is the chemicals in our food and water that is causing so much cancer.
