Color yourself healthier

Challenge Yourself for: 24 Hours

Some conventional hair coloring agents test positive for lead acetate, a known nervous system toxin. (Small amounts have been approved by the FDA for use in hair coloring products.) If coloring your hair is a must, challenge yourself to find an alternative, lead-free product in the Environmental Working Group’s Skindeep Database. Or, if you continue using such gradual darkening agents, practice safer coloring: wear gloves and don’t touch bathroom surfaces so that lead compound is not inadvertently spread.

After coloring my hair for years, I decided to find out what my natural color is, and I was pleasantly surprised. By the way, the first 8 weeks you need to be patient because the new hair needs time to take over the colored hair. Then enjoy your fresh new fronds. What really changed my mind was when my hairstylist stopped coloring her hair, and she’s sexy fierce.

How often can you color your hair without causing to many problems. I try to go every 8 weeks and then I think its too much..How do you use the Vit E capsules?

I’m the queen of coloring my hair. I get bored with the “LOOK” that i have. So, I color my hair quite often. I have been getting a lot of headaches lately, but there’s no study that can prove coloring your hair-leaves to headaches. I hadn’t colored my hair in 4 months (that’s a goal for me) I’m going natural …my hair looks healthier and I use Vitamin E gel capsules as a hot oil treatment for my scalp.
