Clear the air
We often worry about the quality of air outside, but indoors the air is often much worse. When you open a window, you clear the air, so to speak, and dissipate any pollutants that may have accumulated from cleaning supplies, building materials, heaters, and stoves. Challenge yourself today to open a window more often, even in winter, and breathe deeply knowing that you’ve just cleaned house in a very important way!

Awesome, I make a point to do this everyday…its cold in the winter here, but, you can tell how much more clean the indoor air quality is just after keeping a window open for a short while!
Hi! Living here in S.W. Georgia (Columbus, we get the best weather at times, and it’s those times like today (Veterans Day), that I could open my windows and air-out the apartment without the rain coming in! Suggestion: In case you want to make your place smell even better, before vacuuming, sprinkle baking soda throughout the house and let it sit for a while to absorb any odors — then, vacuum! It’s the same thing that’s used in those “room deodorizers” that are sprinkled before vacuuming (in case you didn’t know any of this). :o)
I open the windows everyday. I love it. The smell of fresh air is awesome.
My windows are almost always open … in fact, I’ve got some windows that don’t even close! We do have 4 seasons, but almost always a breeze blowing. So summertime, even when it’s very warm (I don’t have air conditioning) all windows & doors are full open—delightful. And in winter, even with snow, there are open windows…again, delightful! I think my brain would get claustrophobia if I couldn’t have open windows!
I open my windows everyday for at least 1 hour.
I live in a relatively small dorm room, and day one of the move in we decided to keep the window open to get some fresh air. Even now that it is getting pretty cold, we leave it open 24/7. The difference is actually noticeable between the air quality in our room as compared to rooms that have not opened their windows at all!
Great Grandma always did this.
Some plants have good air purification qualities one of the best is the spider plant and it grows well indoors just be careful not to over water and pruned pieces can be replanted they take very well try out a couple.
My heat is off until it gets around 60 degrees. I love having my windows open daily to air out the house and breathe in the fresh air.
A mobile home is the worst for no air movements. I keep the sliding door screen open and opposite side windows too, ever chance I get. I love a good breeze.
