Clear the air
We often worry about the quality of air outside, but indoors the air is often much worse. When you open a window, you clear the air, so to speak, and dissipate any pollutants that may have accumulated from cleaning supplies, building materials, heaters, and stoves. Challenge yourself today to open a window more often, even in winter, and breathe deeply knowing that you’ve just cleaned house in a very important way!

My windows are almost always open … in fact, I’ve got some windows that don’t even close! We do have 4 seasons, but almost always a breeze blowing. So summertime, even when it’s very warm (I don’t have air conditioning) all windows & doors are full open—delightful. And in winter, even with snow, there are open windows…again, delightful! I think my brain would get claustrophobia if I couldn’t have open windows!

I live in a relatively small dorm room, and day one of the move in we decided to keep the window open to get some fresh air. Even now that it is getting pretty cold, we leave it open 24/7. The difference is actually noticeable between the air quality in our room as compared to rooms that have not opened their windows at all!
