I have met a lot of people in my neighborhood just from walking my dogs. Everyone always wants to know their breed and stops to pet them, and then we end up talkin for a while. I met some great neighbors this way. There are SO many dogs owners in our area, so as animal lovers, we all have something in common. Also, my next-door neighbor has health problems, so a lot of us are already in contact so we know what to do in an emergency. We are also fortunate to have a park right in the back of our house, so we can meet a lot of nice families that way too. I love my neighborhood!!

I live in a residence hall on my university campus and love being involved. A group of friends and I have gone around meeting the people near us and in the different wings of our hall. It is great to get to know people and makes for a more inviting community. Plus knowing everyone we get the exercise of going up and downstairs to visit rooms.

I have a BAD neighbor!! My husband and I live out in the country, so it’s not illegal to shoot a gun, but my neighbor shoots his all the time and has even shot at my hubby before. We filed a report and he was arrested (reckless endangerment) for that particular incident, but he’s still shooting. The Sherrif’s Dept. says there is nothing they can do. I wish we had the money to move away, but I’m disabled with chronic pain and can’t work. My husband has to stay home and take care of me…plus he doesn’t want to leave me alone with a maniac living next door to us!!
Anyone have any suggestions???-

my goodness and I thought the crazy dog breader that lives on the corner of my street was bad. How can the sheriff say there is nothing they can do. If he shot even in the direction of your husband, that is recless endangerment in any state. If your sheriffs department won’t help, try the state police and if that does not work – start letter writing, congress and state officials. No one should have to live in fear of their neighbors
Best of lunc
