Up the ante

Nobody’s happy when the ants come marching into our habitats and eating areas, no matter what season. One ant attractor, sadly, is houseplants. Luckily, there are natural ways to keep the pesky bugs at bay. Today, challenge yourself to try this concoction for keeping ants off household and garden vegetation: 1 cup of water, ½ cup of apple cider vinegar, ¼ cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of molasses. Place the mixture near the plant in question and watch the ants line up!

If you sprinkle a heavy trail of cinnamon in the path the ants are using, or at windows & doorways they will stop. We had a BAD ant problem a few years ago and once we put the cinnamon down – they would not cross it!

For your pet food and garbage can, search google for Antser. It’s a wonderful product and keeps ants out of your cookie jar, pet food, garbage can, and anything else you set on top of your Antser.

Do you just set this out in a bowl? Do the ants drown in it or what?

I really hope this works for the ants!! I have 6 cats in my apartment and won’t use poison to get them under control.

I really hope this works. I hate using poison to get rid of pest because I have children.
