De-tangle your danglers
Earrings often end up in a tangled pile in a neglected jewelry box or drawer, unused and uncared for. You can give your ear jewelry a new lease on life by hanging each pair separately—without buying anything new. Hanging will also prevent metals from tarnishing. Today, challenge yourself to clear off a shelf inside your medicine cabinet and tape a piece of strong nylon dental floss across it. Voila! Instant, free earring holder that takes up no additional space.

Well now, the floss is a great idea but it leaves me still needing a place for the “studs” I wear. So off to the store with a “hobby ” department where I found a plastic mesh used in a form of cross-stitch type sewing. two aisles over where the picture frames are located now affords me a way to display and keep track of the pairs and look alikes. The plastic mesh comes in different colors, and mesh hole sizes. Best of all, the frame sizes and designs are endless to match your mood and decor. You can even sew a design or name into the mesh, or “box” off areas with the thread, yarn to help separate the different stones, metals, and hoop styles. After searching for the Stud tree and not finding it. the three dollars spent on mesh and frame suits my style and needs.

That’s a great idea. I’m a fan of using a chain-link necklace. However, I have an earring holder I made out of a small rectangle of plastic mesh (and decorated it with lanyard).

I use the pill sorters found in pharmacies. Each “day” is the perfect size to keep 1 pair of earrings & I can just toss the whole container in my suitcase for a quick trip. They also come in several colors and are clear enough to see through the bottom, making it easy to find the correct pair quickly.
