Weigh your options
Strength trainers: Are you lifting heavy enough weight to improve your fitness level? One way to know is if you struggle through your final few reps (you should). How many reps you’re doing doesn’t matter as much as whether your muscles are reaching a state of fatigue. Today, challenge yourself to add a moderate amount of weight where you can, remaining mindful of form and safety at all times.

I started lifting in combination with my cardio last week and was doing reps of less than 10 with a lot of weight. I found that using moderate weights but making sure I did reps of at least 14 counts made me feel much more powerful and contributed to toning, not just bulking up. It’s nice to see visible arm definition again!

I am doing strength training twice a week along with other activities. I have just added a pound to the weight I have been using. Adding on slowly….do not want an injury. Also..have added weights into my yoga routines. I am using 2 lb. weights, but I was surprise how much it adds to my yoga workout.

I started a second round of P90x this week and my goal is to double the weight lifted for each exercise in the next 90 days.

I increased weights today. I feel sore but it will be worth it.
