Take a 30-minute walk
Walking has numerous health benefits, including strengthening your heart, bones, muscles, and joints. The best part is that regardless of your fitness level, most people can do it. Today, challenge yourself to walk for 30 minutes. Because recent research has shown that exercise doesn't need to be 'all at once' to be beneficial, feel free to break up the 30 minutes any way you like (e.g. 10 minutes after breakfast, 10 minutes after lunch, etc.). _Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine._

I’m a college student and I walk with my laptop, books, and lunch all over campus (due to the fact that I live far from campus, I carry everything I need with me). On average, I walk about 6-8 miles a day! I also walk to take the bus=) Although I’m beginning to consider riding a bike.

Walking is very beneficial, I have had large amounts of pain in my feet. Not only from being a Chef and in the military but also from running which I love. The thing is the podiatrist told me you can easily overdo it and get into heel spurs and that kind of thing so many “Low-Ampact” style things such as eliptical and bike are great also. A walk will give you enjoyment, many times get you outdoors for breath of fresh air, and can be done almost anywhere!

I walk around the lake every morning (4.2 miles). It is a great way to start the day, especially on these brisk Fall mornings. I feel much better on the days that I walk.
