Get a leg up on crunches
Crunches are a simple way to work your abs. However, with your feet on the floor, it’s easy to fall into the trap of arching the back and working your hip flexors instead. Today, challenge yourself to bend your knees at a 90-degree angle and put your feet up instead. This makes it easier to limit effort to your abs instead of the back or hip flexors.
Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine.

Never thought about this way and I’ve been doing crunches for years. Can’t wait to do my daily crunches when I get home.
30/day seem like a reasonable number for someone who’s not that strong in the abbish area?
Thanks for the tip!
i do an ab workout every morning and i changed my regular crunches to leg up…much more intense i love it
i do my crunches on alarge exersize ball
Thank you for the tip. I will be trying it when i get home tonight
Hi! I teach Pilates and when I have my students do any kind of crunches I tell them to initiate the crunch from the abs, not by pulling the head up. Think of pulling your belly button down towards your spine and keeping your chin off of your chest. Try it…you’ll feel the difference!
Wow! That is harder than it sounds. I’ll do it this way from now on.
Hi! What is the flat belly diet? Is it online? thanks
Thanx for the idea, I needed to try something different because the other wasn’t working
Wow! I really should do more of this.
scurtis – I just lost my pooch through the Flat Belly Diet – I lost my stomach pooch, but not my breats!! It’s a wonderful diet, easy to follow (although I don’t follow it to the letter) and it even approves of Kashi’s entrees! It works! Give it a try.
I do Pilates – most of the “crunches” are with legs off the floor. It’s wonderful!!
After having a baby, any suggestions on different way’s to get rid of “the pooch” is helpful.
Yep. This is one I can do and WILL do.
Will definitely try this, my stomach is one of the main areas I need to work on.
...any suggestions on how many a beginner should do.
Thank you. Love tips
Will definitely try this.
planks are awesome for abs
