Have fruit, nuts, or veggies growing in your yard? Come time to harvest, you’ll probably have too much to eat yourself. Here’s one way to reduce your “cookprint”: Challenge yourself to ask a local school, volunteer organization, or soup kitchen to help you harvest your bounty – and bring home anything they pick.

I have a small home (organic) garden & I donate my “excess” to CityTeam Ministries mission. They are a way cool social service organization & they are all over the US. Check them out they can really use your help & 100% of your contributions actually get there & make a REAL difference to Moms & kids in need … http://www.cityteam.org/ thanks for your interest..!

We have started our seedling already to transplant into the community garden and look forward in the sharing and being out doors working in the soil

I will have a garden this summer. I have already asked a local shelter to come to my home throughout the summer to take what they need. I also buy fruits and vegetables at farmers markets and donate them as well.
