Whiten up
Often thought of as a sour cousin of balsamic vinegar better suited to cleaning than cooking, white vinegar is seeing its star rise as a culinary staple. Its tanginess nicely balances infusions of garlic, basil, and tarragon, as well as cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg on the sweet-spicy side. Blend it with fruit juice to create a salad dressing base or marinade. Today, challenge yourself to create a custom white vinegar blend you can call your very own.

I like to blend it with fresh herbs from my AeroGarden to make my own special herb vinagrette salad dressing.
I prefer cidar vinegar. White vinegar is too strong.
I prefer white vinegar. I’ve always used it to soak my meats in it before I add my seasonings. It works well.
I love using white vinegar with a little grated parmesan on a salad. The parmesan helps to lessen the strong flavor of the vinegar. I grew up having white vinegar in salads, and I like to use it still.
