Think hydrate over hibernate

Challenge Yourself for: 24 Hours

Winter weather can be as drying as heat, so remember to get the water you need to replace what you’ve lost. As a general rule, experts say adults need about eight 8-oz. glasses a day. Average exercisers need 1.5 to 2.5 glasses more. Today, challenge yourself to rehydrate with nature’s best drink at the level your body needs.

Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine.

I currently drink several glasses of iced tea each day, but I’ve been unable to determine if this counts towards water intake?

I THINK THEY ARE NOW SAYING ANYTHING LIQUID (I.E. ICED TEA, COKE, COFFEE) COUNTS TOWARDS YOUR DAILY WATER INTAKE BUT OF COURSE SOMETHING WITHOUT ADDED SWEETENERS WOULD BE BEST.

I believe fresh fruits also count toward your water intake. And they say that if you drink coffee or caffinated tea you should drink another 8 oz glass of water, in addition to your 8 glasses a day. This is to replace the fluids that the caffeine takes away.

Caffeine is so bad for the body but I can’t seem to get away from it! Any other suggestions to replace the caffeine stimulus in the morning?

    Does anyone drink Propel?

Living in Tucson, AZ, I know that we need water every day. I drink over 8 glasses of water every day. I carry a water bottle everywhere. My dermatologist said that my skin is fabulous for my age. 65, I don’t have hardly any wrinkles. Water works~CC

I have read that eating an apple in the morning will give you more energy than drinking a cup of coffee. Apples are full of natural nutrients that can energize your body immeditaely without having that terrible crash effect after drinkign coffee.

    Hello Amyers,
I drink water every day and no caffeine at all. However, if you’re searching for a quick energy booster may I suggest FRS Healthy Energy drink by Lance Armstrong. Research the product first before you try it does effect every one differently, but it is very good.

My hours at work have changed and now I am drinking more than 1 cup of coffee a day..help. I am not fond of water but do drink it with a little flavoring. I usually fill a bottle twice and split one of the “drink mixes” in half.

I used to drink propel, but I got burnt out. The only drink I don’t get bored with is good old H2O.

I drink about 2 bottles of water a day. My doctor has told me though, that yes, you do get water from fruit and veggie sources as well. :) She basically said, drink just slightly more than you’re thirsty for every day, and you should be just fine. :)

Also, I’ve been told by a nutritionist that once you’re thristy, you’ve already started dehydrating. I keep water around at all times, and sometimes if I do get bored, I add a little juice to the water, just enough to flavor it but not add too much sugar! She also told me if you drink a quart of water a half hour before eating, you will eat less! Enjoy your day!

Dieuritcs do not count as water, caffeine is a dieuritic. It is something that actually takes water out of your body and makes you urinate more frequently and can cause dehydration if that is all you consume. Also the 8 glasses a day is not what is necessarily true. I leaned from my dietician that you should take your weight, cut in half and that is how many ounces of water you should have a day.

I gave up caffine and I drink nothing but vitamin water now and I find I don’t get the crashing after drinking caffine. My skin feels better and I have more energy.

I feel a 32 oz bottle with water and a propel single pack twice a day at work, then usually drink a couple more glasses outside of work. I like water plain, but I don’t drink as much at work without propel in it.
