Spend a quiet evening
Instead of reaching for the TV remote or other electronic media, tonight challenge yourself to read, talk, walk, or just sit companionably quiet. You’ll be surprised how rejuvenating it is to be alone with your thoughts or share some mellow conversation.

Done! My wife and I have booked a “date” to do absoutely nothing. Sort of hard with two teenagers!
Try playing a board game like Scrabble. Its fun and mind stimulating!
We carried this challenge on into Saturday with a dinner for 2 at a great restaurant. Maybe at some point, Kashi can issue challenges for Saturday and Sunday too !!!!!
With a history of narcolepsy, sleep and rest are very hard because I can sit down and crash. I have started a medication that helps me stay awake to enjoy the world and life. I enjoy the quiet times with my blind Golden, brushing him and cuddling with him. I have missed this. Thanks for the challenge.
I am going out to dinner with some coworkers and then will come back and read before going to bed.
i think i can do it.. i havent watched “tv” in months
My husband and I purchased a new game and invited our friends over for a game night.
I am meeting old friends for a nice relaxing dinner and then reading some of the new book of poetry I just bought!
I will surround myself with lit candles and listen to the windchimes tonight.
I am working crossword puzzles !
The wind is blowing and the snow is piling up outside, but here indoors, I’ve finished my Kashi Go Lean and my cup of tea, and have thoroughly enjoyed this morning’s gift of tranquility and relaxation!
i read my book last night. IT was good i didn’t want to go to bed!
Played cards, walked around the block, read – both of us – together!
I am excited for this challeng. My family and I have decided to do one night a week-no tv, no computers, no phones, no electricity. Just being together-no interuptions.
My boyfriend and I spent the night in relaxing and cuddling together and catching up on each others busy lives.
I decided that I just wanted some me time. No tv, computers, phones. I read by candlelight.
Saturday, the zoo (weather has been great here in Albuquerque). Sunday, Kite flying. Both activities are great, for those of us with or without kids. My parents used to go to the zoo after we all left home. They said it made them feel like kids!
I’m on my feet all day at work, so when I finally get home, I’m pretty tired, and I relish my quiet time away from anyone. This helps me unwind, facilitates meditation or reading, and helps me stay calm and relaxed. I love this challenge !!
My sister and I cooked dinner and watched the movie Atonement.
I’m going to spend the evening painting a picture to hang in my bedroom instead of watching the news.
