Move more this holiday
For most of us, the holiday season involves a lot of socializing, overeating and couch surfing. Try something different this year by making it a point to move a little when you’re tempted to spend the whole day lounging. Today, challenge yourself to make a list of ways to keep active in the off time. Keep it handy so when you’re tempted to sit around you’ll have a reason to get moving! Here are some ideas to get you started: • Run errands on foot or by bike. • Do a set of push-ups, sit-ups or jumping jacks every few hours. • Volunteer for active duty (vacuuming, playing with the kids, shoveling snow). _Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine._
