Cook with arugula
Arugula is bitter, but interesting bitter. It adds a complexity to salads, pastas and other dishes. Here’s the neat part: Although it is perfect in salads, it’s not a lettuce at all. Arugula is a crucifer, cousin to kale, broccoli and many other nutritious vegetables. Today, challenge yourself put arugula on your grocery list. Here are some ideas for using it when you've got it home: • Whip up a pesto by mashing two bunches of arugula with garlic, olive oil, Parmesan, walnuts, lemon juice and salt and pepper. • Serve it on crostini with walnuts and Gorgonzola. • Toss it with linguine, pine nuts and Parmesan.

I love arugula! Other than usual salads, I springle on pasta dishes, on pizzas and sandwiches. It gives a spicy touch on foods, so yum!

I love the stuff and use it instead of lettuce in salads.

Trader Joe’s (only in CA?) has it right now…and usually has it as far as I’ve seen. It is in the refrigerated bagged lettuce area. I just don’t know how much is in a normal sized bunch of arugula. I guess I’ll just estimate. I’m going to try it with lemon juice and a new jerk chicken recipe tonight!

I eat it in salads but don’t really like the taste. I thnk I will try it in a pesto!!

I think of arugula as peppery and pair it with sweet dried fruit or creamy cheese. Love it with asparagus and lemon vinaigrette.
