The edible dining table centerpiece is a brilliant idea: beautiful, colorful whole foods right at your fingertips. Not only does it provide an esthetic link to the season’s bounty, but it reminds diners of healthier options when it comes to snacking and desserts. Today, challenge yourself to do some planning and creative thinking about creating a centerpiece for the next time you entertain. Here a a few ideas: • Keeping an attractive bowl of colorful fresh fruit handy. • Filling a striking party platter with healthful nuts, seeds or whole-grain crackers. • Placing a tray of wheat grass front and center.

    I keep a bowl of apples and oranges nad other fresh fruit on my table. It looks pretty and gives the kids a handy dessert for after supper.

    I filled a long, white, rectangular plate with cedar sprigs, cranberries and 3 of my high ball glasses acting as tealight candle holders… Very simple, elegant and pretty!

    This sounds so healthy and fun to do. I plan on putting some Kashi bars and Kashi cereal in my centerpiece. They are so delicious.
