Props to you
Crave an impromptu yoga, Pilates or strength workout but have no props? No problem. If all that’s standing between you and an at-home workout is a dumbbell, block or stretchy band, you can improvise safely and get a great workout to boot. Today, challenge yourself to do an impromptu workout-at-home experiment, using homemade equipment. Here are some ideas: • Use cans of food as hand weights for bicep curls, upright rows or other upper-body lifts. • Fashion a yoga block out of a dictionary or other thick, hard-bound book (use flat only). • Lay out a rubber bath mat. • Rolling up towels as pelvic or hip supports. _Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine._

Great if you can’t get to the gym! I’ll still go to weekly classes but this is great for those times I can’t get there.
ok, I’ll grab some weights and lunge up and down the driveway…. so good for legs and for balance and it quickly gets your heart racing….then maybe some jump rope….
I totally loved this work out. It made me feel so energetic. Yoga is awesome.
I’m going to try it out later today. I’ll be using my bath mat and the food cans and give it a try.
Didn’t have to use soup cans or other cans from the cupboard – just “borrowed” hubby’s 5 pound dumbells. Then walked up and down the steps a few times (gasp!). Now I just have to remember where i put hubby’s dumbells ‘cause he’s looking for ‘em. That will be exercise for the brain.
