Flax seed a a good source of Omega 3 and fiber
Flax needs to be introduced into your diet slowly but it creates amazing digestive/processing results over a realtvely short period of time.
I like sprinkling a little bit of fax seeds over my cold cereal.
I add ground flaxseed to whole-grain pancake batter, as well as homemade bread. I also enjoy it over my yogurt.
I add whole flax seeds to anything that I want some extra nutty yumminess in – everything from salad to cereal, oatmeal, and yogurt.
Flax seed really has changed my life. I struggled with digestion and now I couldn’t be more regular!! :)
I already eat flaxseed on oatmeal because of past digestive problems. Those days are gone.
I use a combination of Whole Black Flax seeds and ground when I make Oatmeal/Wheat Bread.
mmm flax!
I eat flax seed every day and sometimes I will even grid my own seeds in a coffee grinder or buy the powder.
Our bodies can utilize the full benefits of flax seed when it is ground (sometimes if left whole, the seed passes through the digestive system in tact). Buy it whole & grind it yourself to keep it lasting longer. Ground is better, but also goes bad more quickly. Be sure to store both the whole & ground in a cool, dark place.
