Push yourself

Few exercises are as basic – or as productive – as the humble pushup, which help you feel stronger in a matter of weeks. You can modify them to fit your individual fitness level – try them on your knees or your toes, legs together or spread. This month, challenge yourself to do 2-3 sets of 10 pushups, three days per week. At the end of the month, prove you’re stronger by adding another set to your routine. You’ll definitely be motivated to keep it up.

Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine.

(When logging progress for this challenge, only log as many days as you participated the activity within the 30-day time frame.)

So I started this a little bit ago but did not realize that it was on here, except I was doing fifteen per day, which adds up to a little over this amount. i am sticking to that.

I will attempt 10 “real” push-ups (not the”girly” ones) in less than 30 seconds…

My bootcamp619 trainer is a firm believer in the push-up! I’m getting stronger every week!

I was in the military for 4 years and could do 70+ push ups in 2 mins. Not anymore. This is a great challenge to help me get back to that!! I could barely make it to 10 without my arms trembling. I’ll be sore tomorrow!!!!

First day. Geez. I could barely do 10 from my knees. Guess that’s what happens when you top 3 bills! Oh well. Better tomorrow, right?

I know that health is an issue for kids, especially with the removal of PE from the schools and the increase in sedanatary activities like computer games. My 16 year old so loves computer games, so several years ago I institued a rule of 25 push ups for every hour on the computer. He could chose not to do them and get off the computer or he could do the push ups over the period of an hour. Now, he can easily do 100 push up at a time and has made it his goal to join the armed services.

I did push ups with my morning run. Run 10 minutes, stop at a bench and did pushups off the seat, run 10 minutes, repeat. Felt great!
