Greenify your commute
There are lots of ways to make your commute more environmentally friendly. It just takes a little planning and some effort. You might be surprised at how seemingly small changes can make a big difference.
During the next week, try one (or several) of these ideas for making your commute more earth friendly: 1) go the speed limit, 2) check your tire pressure to make sure its ‘just right’, 3) carpool, 4) take public transportation, or 5) ride your bike. In no time, you’ll be doing your part to help save the environment.
(We’ve given you 7 days for this Challenge. When you log your progress, you only need to log as many – or as few – days as you think are applicable.)
Today im am going to drive under 60 miles per hour to save on gas.
I take the coaster to work every day. It is so easy and so much better than driving!
I have a long commute but for now on I’m going to try really hard to go the speed limit which is something I have never done before. Besides, I really can’t afford a speeding ticket and I’m sure it won’t be long before I would get caught..everyone’s luck runs out sometime!
I take the long island rail road to and from work in the city everyday. MUCH better than driving and I get extra sleep!
I’ve only 5 miles from where I live to the campus (college classes) so I’m such a BIG commuter! I have been getting pretty good about going anywhere from 50 to 55 MPH instead of the limit which is 60…people pass me; it feels good. :D
Tommorow, weather permitting I will ride my bike to work. I only work about a mile away from where I live. It will be good exercise!
