One way to escape the stressors of modern life is to set up a special corner in your house where you can indulge in a moment of meditation or quiet contemplation. Set up a small table and fill it with whatever inspires you – aromatic candles, photographs, special objects. Today, challenge yourself create a space where you find meaning and purpose.

I am just starting my sacred place as my husband and I bought our family a home. With two teenagers in the house I think our bedroom is going to be my space. I have chosen relaxing colors and lots of candles, no tv but reading from the Bible and writing in my journal. Also writing poetry.

My bedroom is also my sacred place. I enjoy reading, and I just started my journal. Writing out my feelings and what’s going on inside really helps. I just discoved Kashi, started eating their frozen meals for lunch at work. They’re really tasty, filling, and guilt free! I’m going to try some of the snack crackers and other products.

Always take a moment to destress and think of things that Are good in your life, the blessings, the positive, and those you love. When you are off being a mother or father, husband or wife, student, worker etc. Never lose sight of YOU! Always remember to take care of yourself not just others. Most importantly live each day as if it were your last. Enjoy the moments in your special place.
