Challenge Yourself for: 30 days
The great thing about an exercise ball is that it’s so versatile. You can use it to strengthen your core. Or, you can tone your muscles and improve balance simply by sitting on it. Any ball you purchase should come with get-fit tips, or find ideas online. Challenge yourself to put an exercise ball to good use.
(When logging progress for this challenge, only log as many days as you participated in the activity within the 30-day timeframe.)

You are so right about the exercise ball. You actually use muscles and burn calories if you are just sitting on it, so imagine how many we burn by working out on it. I have one and am going to start using it again. Good luck everyone!!!

I have been sitting on an exercise ball at work for all most 2 years now. I never realized that I was strengthening my core until one day I decided to do some crunches and they were pretty easy. I use my ball at home occassionally, but I am going to start doing more than just crunches. I have started using it as a weight bench and doing some weight lifting on it.

HMatteri167 – Not certain as to what type of crunches you are currently doing with the excercise ball but I have a few tips. When doing your crunches, try to keep feet together and when you go back on the crunch lean all the way back so that you are looking backwards. It will really stretch the abs!!! Hope this helps!

I love my excersize ball! I did pilates for quite some time, but eventually, the rutines became to easy. With the ball I can still do similiar moves to the pilates ones (which I love) but with a greater degree of difficulty and a fuller body workout!

I have a home based business, and I decided to trade in my desk chair for an exercise ball. It not only has greatly reduced my back pain, I can now feel it strengthening my core muscles. It’s also fun to bounce on sometimes!

Today was my first day using my exercise ball. I completed two sets of crunches and several different excercises that worked out my legs and core areas. Anyone have any suggestions for my arms using the ball?
