My bed room seems to be very cluttered so I cleaned up and got all of the clutter away from the bed. It seems to be working better than I thought.

Well, the problem for me was both electronics and clutter. I also have quite bright walls! NEON GREEN. So, by using a duller, turning out the electronics and get rid of 5 bags of gabage, I know have a much cleaner a healthier living space. Some of my personal tips would be to lave your window open sometimes when it’s warm.

I have been improving my sleep experience by dimming the lights where ever I am in the house or (don’t laugh it works!) wearing sun glasses an hour or two before bedtime – prepares you brain to accept sleep. NO TV 1 hour before bedtime or TV in the bedroom. Clean air flow is important, also you just feel and breathe so much better surrounded by clean fresh linens, washed without perfume or dyes or fabric softner.

I always keep my window open, even if its just cracked. I think the fresh air helps me sleep better and I also like it to be dark, NO lights!!!

I’ve been working on this for almost 2 years…I’ve long since removed anything from my bedroom that doesn’t have to do with sleep or sex. I also moved my bedroom into a much smaller room on my second floor that most people would use as an office specifically so that I had a small room devoted to the 2 purposes. I have a 2 year old dog and she likes to sleep on the bed at the foot during the cold weather and sleeps on the floor in the same place during the warmer months, I also have a cat who likes to meander in at all hours and join me or the dog. Both critters make me wake up several times during the night but I can’t force myself to banish either.

I’ve been working on this for quite some time now. A book by Karen Kingston called “Clearing Your Clutter with Feng Shui” has been a tremendous inspiration. In about one more month I expect to have a bedroom that feel very calm, peaceful and very “Zen-like”. Stay tuned for more updates.

I turn the AC cooler at night during the summer, and leave the window cracked in winter to create a nice cool room.

I have a room that’s easily made quite dark (other than letting the moonlight through the blinds—makes for some lovely ambient light ;) and I listen to soft, instrumental music to help me sleep. I have a hard time falling asleep when it’s totally silent—seems like any little noise that does happen seems all the louder, haha! I also sometimes use a sprits of a lavender & chamomile aromatherapy spray on my pillow (which is a Sobakawa one—with the buckwheat husks—best sleep investment I’ve ever made) which has a soothing effect that relaxes the senses to sleepyville ;)

don’t eat right before you go to bed and take a bath or shower with lavender vinilla bath wash before bed and have either chamimile tea or sleepy time

I have given myself permission to sleep on the floor at a moment’s notice. Its sounds small but it is so empowering for me to grab a pillow and cover, crack my window just a little and sleep on my floor and not have to answer to anyone about why I love the moment so much. I feel absolutely wonderful curled up on my carpet just letting myself have this one thing!

I took the tv and vcr out of the bedroom and put in a stereo with calming music for sleeping. Also I mived the sound machine that plays natural sounds next to the bed. May not be much, but it creates a more relaxed environment

I have bought a 4’ inch mattress topper with memory foam, new sheets with pillow cases, and took the sheet that I had covering my window down to let lite shine in my room.

I turned down the heat and that made it easier to sleep

I started turning the tv off before I fall asleep instead of using the timer.
