Keeping my list of what I’m eating on the fridge helps me to control what I’m putting in my mouth and reminds me of my bad snacking habits. Also, it helps me to choose my meals and snacks more wisely so that I do not get the hungry horrors.

It does help to keep track of “what you put into your mouth”! I have been doing this for about a week now! Much more aware, when I write it down. But I still have to conquer the bread cravings I have! I could live off from bread and butter!!! Bad Bad Bad

“Analizing what one eats everyday is a daunting and imprecise activity.” from chaloup.
I agree – it is tough to do this. For a couple of weeks now, I have been tracking my calories with an iphone ap called “lose it”. If anyone has an iphone, I highly recommend this! Keeping track has been much easier for me (than say food journaling) and while the precision may not be 100% its been super helpful even having ballpark caloric counts on foods. -

i’m an extremely healty eater, but i lose with my big sweet tooth! I can eat healthy all day and if i’m around a sweet, everything is down hill from there. I am not aiming to lose weight, but eat in moderation. I tend to over eat and feel gross and bloated, so i joined this challenge to keep track of how much I eat. It helps so much because I stay satisfied and feel great!!

Friends and I started a biggest loser contest. I do not need to loose weight but I did it with them anyway to make sure I stay healthy. Alot of them have already quit and my fiance and I have still done well. I’m eating better and still excersing. The Kashi foods help. Thank you.

Analizing what one eats everyday is a daunting and imprecise activity. My main challeng in this endeavor is to truly account for all the little the things such as a piece of candy from a coworkers candy jar or that half of a bagel or even finishing off that “little bit” of dinner left in the refirderator. Of course these all add up and I am developing the discipline to not only resist ingesting these things but also to truthfully account for them in my analysis.

I like how we are encouraged to analyze our diets. I recently began analyzing mine and realized I eat pretty healthy. Since I am a vegetarian, healthy eating is automatic. Yet I stiiiillllll don’t get enough fiber! With all the fruit and vegetables and beans I eat, it’s still not enough. I didn’t know how little fiber white pasta and white rice and potatoes without the skins had.

I’ve lost just over 50 pounds by doing weight watchers on my own and exercising. I’ve hit a plateau though and realized I’d stopped thinking so much about what I put in my mouth. I’ve decided to start eating breakfast, something I’ve never done, and I decided to try Kashi TLC bars. I had the Trail Mix bar today and loved it. I can’t believe it has whole grains AND tastes good.

When ever I start putting on weight I start writing down everything I eat. It helps to keep me focused on eating healthy foods, like fruits and vegetables and the whole grains found in Kashi.

Eating healthy is a great way to prevent illness. This along with regular exercise and tending to our emotional and spiritual needs really paves the way to all around health. I have been following a TN pain reduction diet and keeping my saturated fat level to 12g or less per day (similar to AHA diet guidelines). In one week, I have lost 7 pounds. I eat mostly organic vegetables and fruits, nuts, and some dairy. I eat mostly fish and poultry, and cut red meat down to 1-2 times per week. I also cut down my portion sizes to be exactly what is recommended. I eat only when I am hungry, about every 3 hours, and eat only small amounts of food. I have also been doing Pilates and walking. I have a lot less pain and a lot more energy. people notice I am looking and feeling a lot better.

I am 210 lbs and wand to get down to my comfortable weight of 165 lbs by New Years 2009.
-
This really helps me keep a balanced diet! I am so much more aware of the amount of fruits and vegetables I consume each day.
-
I am trying to get back on track and have found out that if I write down what I eat and watch my portion sizes it helps a lot. The Kashi snacks make it easy to satisfy my mid day hunger.

Kashi has great tasting foods/snacks and are easy to incorporate into any diet plan. After tracking my food intake daily for approximately 1 year, I no longer have to track it because I have changed my way of eating for the better. I no longer crave those sugary foods I used to eat! Wow, that’s exciting!

I track my food every day & make sure I’m getting the right balance of food groups.

I’m confused—-”Kashi is just a part of the diet, and the cost of the cereal or oatmeal is in line with unhealthy brands.” Kashi and oatmeal is unhealthy?

Attempting to eat healthy. More organics, grains, fruits all food weighed and measured.

I consider my diet pretty good. I have gone from 188 to 125 pounds by eating Kashi, exercising, and doing weight watchers on my own.

Healthy foods are perimeter foods at the grocery (the fruit and veg section, dairy, meats & fish, etc.). Shop once a week so things are fresh, and money’s not wasted on food gone bad. If you add your grocery bill for the things you buy now that aren’t good for you, and then what you actually spend and eat on good things; the price is the same or less. Eating more natural foods with more fiber fills you up, and you eat less. Kashi is just a part of the diet, and the cost of the cereal or oatmeal is in line with unhealthy brands.
I’m down 40 lbs and continuing.
