Keep in mind, the BP monitors at stores get really beat upon. Kids play with them, they are not callibrated that often. They may give you a general idea. I suggest getting a home monitor and taking it with you to your doctors. Check it at the doctors against their machines. I also get terrible white coat syndrome, so I keep a log to take with me when I get my checkups. That way she can see what is going on. I also mark any changes in wellness. such as a cold that might alter my BP. After 10 years of being on the same medication, we tweaked it a little. That’s to be expected as your body may get use to it. HPB runs in my family and I’ve always been on the boarderline with it. I found out that I had it when I went to my doctor’s because I injured my shoulder at work. Please get your BP checked. It can save your life. I am now 118/65 and feel great.

120/80 is what your blood pressure should not be above for a healthy adult. Pulse for a healthy adult can range from 50-100. Anything lower is too slow, anything faster is too fast. (I am an RN so I do this for a living) If you have concerns, visit your doctor. A lot of things can affect your BP and pulse like stress, hormones, exercise, smoking, diet, etc.

My BP runs low. Last MD visit I was at 102/68 and P 62. This was higher than the 90s it usually runs in. I am doing well.

I work at a Pharmacy and we have a nurse do blood pressure screenings every monday. I ususally try to get mine checked every week. This week I was 122/78. My Mom had high blood pressure, so I always try to keep an eye on it.

I usually check my blood pressure at the grocery store, so I would say maybe once a week. My reading was 104/57 but my pulse was really high (72). Anyone know anything I can do besides exercise to get it down? (I do exercise).

I am in a diet study and get my blood pressure checked about every 8 weeks. I like to have the info since my dad’s family did have a history of high blood pressure
