Challenge Yourself for: 30 days
Yes, we know getting off your rump can sometimes be tough. But if you’re going to experience tomorrow, why not experience it strong and healthy? Some tips for sticking with a routine:
• Start off small
• Be realistic
• Don’t beat yourself up if you miss a day.
This month, challenge yourself to workout at least 3 times per week for at least 20 minutes. Always consult a physician before starting any exercise routine.
(We’ve given you 30 days for this challenge. When you log your progress, you only need to log as many days as are applicable.)

Hi Everyone, I’m in the military so it is already part of my day to exercise. I went to the gym and did 60 minutes of cardio and then 30 minutes of pilates. I’m a trainer…so my tip for the day is for those who are trying to lose weight to do at least a minimum of 45 – 60 minutes of low impact cardio like cycling, ellipticals or swimming. Target heart rate for weight loss should be 65% – 75% of your maximum heart rate (age determined). Don’t get deterred if you get exhausted the first few weeks because it takes a bit to build up endurance and stamina (aerobic base). Just slow things down a bit while you are doing your cardio workout until you breathing returns to relatively normal and then speed things up until you are at your target again and see how long you can sustain and if you feel fatigued, slow it back down. Over time you’ll be able to sustain the higher intensity, but at the beginning it will be a little difficult or a lot difficult so be patient with yourself. You’re working out and conditioning the most important muscle in your body, your heart. Also, before starting any exercise routine, check in with your doctor and take your workout plans with you to go over what would be appropriate for you. Keep positive, you can do this!
